The stay was OK

The room was OK. We had a King Suite with a sofa. The room also had a small fridge and microwave. It really wasn't any bigger than a normal room. It was just laid out differently. The room had a dirty wet dish rag smell when we walked in and it never really went away. The wallpaper was starting to peal and the top border was peeling above the window/air conditioner. There was also mold growing where the border was peeling. There were signs that they were in the process of updating.
Breakfast was from 6-9 AM. They had waffles and biscuits and gravy the first morning and added scrambled eggs the next morning. Things went fine the first morning, but the second morning they ran out of gravy just before 8:30 AM and didn't make any more. The breakfast area was very congested when there were a lot of people. It wasn't laid out very well.
The pool was pretty small, but fine for smaller kids.
The location was pretty good. There were a lot of different restaurants (fast food and sit down) in the area as well as different shopping options. Wal-Mart was also just across the street.

reported no hot water for shower/bath at 5pm and was told maintenance would not come back to bldg until the following day (I only stayed overnight). Was never offered another room or bill adjustment. I requested bill adjustment and was told only manager could offer and he would not be in until the following day. I called manager and was very dissapointed in his lack of customer service. Upon check out I did point out the "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" flyer posted in my room which states: "IF WE CANNOT CORRECT THE SITUATION IN A TIMELY MANNER AND TO YOUR SATISFACTION YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED FOR YOUR ROOM." I was told I would have to contact the company 800 number to pursue this.
Emptied my checking account.

Went for my sister's funeral. I asked should I use debit or credit card. Check in said it made no difference. I used debit. At checkin, they took $152 out of my account and another $140 the next day at checkout which I was not expecting at all. I had no money left in my account for 3 days. $152 was put back into my account. I called both Comfort Suites and travel agency to no avail. I booked through travel agency but had to pay on arrival because of the hotel.

There was remodeling being done so it is hard to give an accurate review. The pool is very small and not very deep. The breakfast was pretty good but it stop serving at 9 am.

With the exception of a slow elevator and a cooler than usual hot tub, this hotel provided an experience worth your money. An excellent free breakfast is provided. The rooms are very large and the location isn't too bad either.
