The lobby of the hotel is very warm and inviting, and this is carried out throughout the entire hotel. There are nice cozy sitting areas in the hotel. The hotel also have a restaurant, bar, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, ski rental shop, and exercise room.
I really liked being able to rent and store my skis at our hotel, which was a lot easier than having to drive to town or find some once we got to the slopes. The shop also has any other item you may need, like hats, gloves, goggles, sweat shirts, and T-shirts. The staff there was really friendly and easy to get along with.
We did book our hotel through AAVacations and traveled with my parents who also booked there. We booked the vacation together and expected to have rooms close by each other, but were not granted that wish when we checked in. We ended up with rooms a couple floors apart.
The rooms were nice and clean and neatly decorated in western woods. The room had all the normal hotel items, but nothing extra.
There was both a bar and a restaurant in the hotel. We enjoyed being able to have a drink after skiing and not have to drive. Also, they have live entertainment most nights at the bar. It was pretty enjoyable.
They had a really nice indoor pool and hot tub that was surrounded by windows, so you could see the mountains while enjoying the warm relaxing water.
I also stayed in this hotel during my summer trip to Winter Park and had an enjoyable experience then too. The rates are pretty good during the summer months.
I would defiantly recommend this hotel and will probably try to stay there during my next Winter Park visit.
