Stayed here anyway

We saw the negative reviews, stayed here anyway. The owner/manager is very nice, place is clean but run down and in an "iffy" neighborhood. They are trying to fix up. I prefer to save the hundred bucks and stay here. The breakfast provided was better than at some 3 star places we have stayed. They provided extra linens upon request - promptly and happily. Air conditioner worked great. No "extras" but the very basics are here, and at a good price.

This hotel needs to completly remodel all their rooms. If I didn't know any better, I thought i was in the bad side of town.

BAD SERVICE EVEN ON THE PHONE

I called this colonial motel to book a room and he said that he could not book a room for me that I had to go into their website and book that way. I called him back to get the website address again, he gave it to me and before I could say another word, he hung up the phone. I am grateful for this manager because once I went into his website. I saw the 2 reviews. Even if his rates are free, I would not stay in this motel

Don't

I did not take the reviews seriously and I thought to give it a try because everything else was sold out around it. I'll tell you if you have some self-respect and dignity, don't go close to this place. I'm not kidding, I don't remember seeing a place that dirty in a long time. The walls are dirty, it is dusty, the shower head was missing, the carpet is so old and so dirty that it sticks to your bare foot. The sheets were clean though I must admit.

did not restock soap/towels, room dirty, gum on bed, shutoff a/c while away, floor sticky, bad area, I have traveled the world and this is by far the worst hotel ever.
