What a nice experience. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Hotel was clean, bright, and room was beautiful and well equipped. Parking on street was not a problem. Would definitely stay here again.

We liked it

We stayed at this hotel on Thanksgiving weekend. We opted not to take our pet, but found them to be very pet friendly. The pool was very nice, with lifeguard on duty. Our suite was very comfortable, the mattress was a delight. I made the stupid mistake of leaving my solid gold earrings on the side table, and they were promptly mailed to me by housekeeping staff. This is a great hotel. Take a trip down to King street and stroll among the great little shops! Also check out the music at the Birchmere, also close by.

A passable choice if the price is right.

Yes, it's a suite, because it has two rooms, but the two together make up a space no larger than your average hotel room. It felt crowded, awkward and a bit cheap. A very comfortable bed was the saving grace. The lobby was a mess, and the staff cheery but amateur. Not a real winner, but given its proximity to National Airport, okay if the price is right.

Sweet Suite, Sweet Stay

When I checked in, the receptionist made arrangements upgrades for me since the room I originally booked wasn't available. When I asked where I could get a good mani&pedi, she began calling salons, even trying to schedule my appt! Staff AND guests were friendly. One complaint: when I walked toward my room, leftover room service trays lined the hallway, one of which was right outside my door. I wasn't sure I was assigned the right room. I was scared to insert the key, thinking someone was still occupying the room. Hours passed before they were retrieved. My top floor suite was a dream.

Good hotel, but costs added up quickly

I booked this hotel assuming that breakfast was included. When I arrived at the hotel even the desk clerk thought I was entitled to breakfast. Not until I received my key and was about to walk away did she notice that breakfast was not included. I was then informed that we could partake of the breakfast buffet for $15 per adult. (The buffet was awesome by the way and economical.) I was also disappointed to learn that I had to pay $18 per day to park my vehicle as well as $10 per day to use the internet in my room. We brought our XBox 360 just in case there was rain and we would be stuck in the hotel. There wasn't an accessible auxiliary channel on the TVs. We even traveled to Target and bought a universal remote thinking that might help. No such luck. There were Nintendo games available on the tv for a FEE. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. However, I felt as though breakfast, parking, and internet should be included in the overall price (even if the price has to go up). I will not stay here again.
