I don't think so

The Showboat caters more towards "club" members.
Upon arriving, the valet attendant asked me what 'color' my club card was. I don't gamble regularly, so I had no idea what he was talking about - and he offered no explanation. The check-in desk was also spearated by club card color with no apparent desk for non-club members. We had to go to the information desk to find out what line to stand in.
The service at the casino bar was almost as bad as I have ever seen. Getting a drink was a waiting game. I expected food/beverage prices to be somewhat higher than normal, but I was stunned by the gouging going on. For example, the price of a single draft budweiser was considerably more than I pay for a pitcher of premium beer at my local pub.
They have a limited restaraunt offering during the week, and I couldn't get anyone to suggest off-property dining choices.
The casino is huge and offers a very good selection of slot machines, but I don't like to play slots. The first night, they only had two craps tables open, and they were full - I actually gave up trying to gamble the first night (their loss).
On the positive side, we did get a good waitress at breakfast in the Mansion Cafe (but only one day.). The room was very nice, but the pillows were awful (That might be a little nit-picking, but waking up with a stiff neck every morning.
Overall, I had much higher expectations for this hotel, so I probably wouldn't stay there again.
i liked it

i've read some of the other reviews and people being unreasonable about losing their room. it clearly states if you don't arrive by 8pm, your room may be given away... you should probably learn to read first. our room was great, very clean, very nice. we had a great time.
