Perfect location for museums and activities. Great pool. Walking distance to just about everything. Great dining nearby. What more could you ask for in Chicago?

Hotel rooms were difficult to find in the short travel notice I had. I was pleased to find the Essex Inn and was quite comfortable there. It was within walking distance of my destination and to interesting areas of Chicago. I would stay there again.

Stayed here over Thanksgiving. The location was good and the price was right. Staff was not very helpful and they were remodeling. Room was small but nice. I would stay here again but only if the price was right.

The Essex has recently been renovated. Unfortunately the restaurant was still under renovation so was not open. But there are a ton of great places to eat in the area as well as Kitty O'Sheas right across the street. Staff were helpful and ...Read more
