Never Stayed in LaQuinta Before, Never Will Again

It started with a long, long wait to get checked in and went downhill from there. We did not get the room type we reserved (king bed), but instead were given 2 full beds. Carpet was so dirty it seemed to crunch under foot. The air conditioning didn't work. We called maintenance who said "Yea, I tell the managment these systems don't work but they don't care enough to do anything about it". Door did not properly latch so I was fearful all night that someone would walk in. Pool was murky, you couldn't see the bottom. Bugs in the bathroom. I stripped the beds, didn't find bugs there but still was fearful. Breakfast: brown bananas, white bread to make toast, cereal with warm milk, packaged muffins. I informed corporate office of my bad experience. They apologized and gave me a voucher for a free night's stay...they must be kidding...anybody want a voucher??
HORRID!

Obviously this is a very old place that they stuck some new paint on and called it upgraded...the paint is pretty filthy now. The pool was green even though it was very warm when we were there. The bed was horrible. There was a such a gap under the door that we had crickets in the room each night. The door was in poor repair and stuck when opening and closing. The area is full of nice hotels...this is not a good choice at all.
Bad Choice

I stayed with this hotel because most of the La Quintas that I have been to were decent or very good hotels. Additionally my sister was supposed to join me and arrive before me via airplane, so I wanted a hotel with a shuttle service. I shouldn't have tried to save her money with a shuttle service. This hotel is underpar with the rest of the La Quintas that I have stayed in. The bed was like a fold out cot in terms of comfort. It seems to be in need of renovations. I haven't lived in the OKC area for nearly 10 years now and the side of town that it's on is not the best. It's definitely not the worst side of town, but it's not the good side either. Especially considering the price I paid for this hotel, I feel I definitely overpaid for the quality I received in return. There is no way I would rate this as a 3 star hotel, maybe 2, but not a 3.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! We got an excellent rate and was excited about our stay. Staff was RUDE, rooms were NASTY, bathtubs had mold and smelled HORRIBLE. I wouldn't stay there again if THEY paid me! La Quinta should be ashamed their name is on this particular hotel!
really disappointed

Never been to this area; but have stayed with this chain before and boy was I in for a rude awakening. They were over 30 minutes late picking me up at the airport and then they put me (alone woman) in the very far room on the end of a dark side. Very scared... When I checked in they asked me out loud in front of other customers if I was checking in alone, then confirmed it again with how many keys would I need, was I expecting anybody later?Just a place to stay over-night - sure found better places to stay surrounding there....better for next time.
