We were traveling with our two dogs, and found this motel to be clean, friendly, comfortable, wth a great breakfast buffet. The rooms are large enough for 4, including the sofabed. Refrigerator and microwave make eating in easy. Internet access was free and dependable. The lobby and public aress were very nice. The room was quiet - we barely heard anyone else. We had an interior room, so traffic noise was not an issue.
It is an older motel, so I can find things wrong. - the shower worked well, but the termperature control took a bit of getting used to. They supplied coffee, tea, and some very nice toiletries, including the best makeup remover I've found - and when traveling for business I have stayed in some very nice places.
Don't beleive some of the older reviews. If you need room, want to save restaurant costs, or are traveling with pets, this is the place.

After reading the horror stories in previous posts, I was very apprehensive. However, the front lobby area was very nice. The rooms were not spectacular but well-kept. We stayed in a decent size bedroom with two queen beds and a couch, which was good for a family on vacation on a budget. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. The indoor pool was a positive thing for the kids, being still somewhat cool in April.
However, if you are planning on using the hotel's free wireless high-speed internet, you will almost certainly be disappointed. The prior reviews were correct, it would vary between slow and non-existent, and there is no one there capable of solving the problem. I was there on a family vacation and did not have demanding internet needs so I was able to muddle through and get a few things done online.
It wasn't the cheapest place to stay, but overall the stay was pleasant.

I have never stayed in a place so badly in need of a cleaning. The only good thing about our room was the bed, which was very comfortable. The bathroom had textured wallpaper which must be hard to clean, but they weren't trying very hard. There was "stuff" splattered all over it and on the back of the door. I cleaned the sink and shower myself before we used it. The lobby, breakfast area and laundry area were all in the same shape. Very disappointing.
hotel being remodeled

the hotel is currently being remodeled but was not an issue during my trip. The evening desk staff (6-11 shift) was not very helpful and should be fired or better trained to work with clients.
The room was relatively clean with some lights not working and electric outets loose/hazardous. The carpet was filthy.
My biggest complaint about this hotel was the internet - there was wireless access but the systems was disfunctional - even going to the lobby for wired connection was no improvement. As I did some troubleshooting - it seemed apparent there was a router or DNS issue that needed attention. I called "XXX" on there "801" service line (MDE Tech.) and got what seemed an extremely dull individual - as if he knew nothing about the internet. I offered to work with him interactively to resolve the issue - but was blown off as - he'll take care of it. the problem was NEVCER resolved. I even left a message with the fornt desk 4 times about the issue and asked that the hotel manager contact me. That never happened.
I also called Choice Hotels to complain - and was told this was a privately owned hotel and they could do nothing about the internet issues. So much for franchise chain hotels :-( This is a great way to push off responsibility.
This is probably owned by an absentee landlord with his family helping him run operations. That leads to no one accountable for any problems because the family can do no wrong.
This hotel's internet service sucks and therefore I will NEVER use this hotel again. You would think the manager would at least have the decency to contact me.
Would not stay there again.

Rooms were dirty. Bathrooms were terrible. Missing smoke detector, but cords were hanging from the ceiling. 1/2 cup of coffee was left in the window sill from previous guests. Smelled of dog, and bed posts were chewed up. The breakfast area was dirty and poorly stocked.
The staff was terrible. NEVER answered phone calls. Go ahead and attempt! Poor housekeeping. The pool area was dingy and water was WAY over clorinated. The only positive was its location to Moab Brewery and room size.
Way over priced, even for Moab.
