disgusting

I recently went to the Quality Inn and Suites with my three children, we literally walked into the hotel room and, just as quickly, we walked out. First of all, the location was terrible. It was isolated and appeared to be slightly abandoned behind a bunch of buildings. The lobby was musty and small. More like a "motel" which was not quite was we were looking for. It smelled gross and was noticeably dirty. The room we stayed in was a "suite". Not only did the room stink of smoke but THE SHEETS WERE DIRTY. My son pulled down the top blanket and there was hair all over the sheets, they clearly were not cleaned. There was a burnt pan in the oven. Overall, the place was absolutely digusting. However, the receptionist was very respectful and pleasant about the situation. We, certainly, will not be returning to the Quality Inn and Suites.

BLAH

In a pinch, this worked, but probably would avoid staying there again. We were attending a convention at the DCU and needed a room big enough for 4 adults and a teen, and since the hotels close to the DCU were full and Quality had suites, we grabbed it. The room was grubby, and although I'd asked for a non-smoking room, it reeked of smoke. The pull-out couch had tears in the cushions and upon pulling it open, was full of crumbs and sagged in the middle. The queen size beds were comfy, but the pillows were not good for support (bring your own). The full size kitchen appliances were a mystery (do suites in a hotels usually have full size appliances?) until we found out that the Inn also has some kind of program for homeless people. The complementary "Breakfast" of powdered eggs and stuck waffles while competing with the long term guests was uncomfortable, but a couple of muffins on the fly worked when we didn't have time to go to any of the numerous restaurants along the strip. I was a place to sleep when you're so exhausted that you don't care. Period.

My wife hates poor carpeting. Room and the rest of the hotel had dirty, old carpeting. Furniture in suite was also in poor condition. Slight smell but tolerable. Internet connection slow at night. A bit noisy too. Definitely would not stay again.

Very pleasant suprise!

I enjoyed the very pleasant staff and the big rooms. Free parking, breakfast included, complimentary high speed internet. It is not too far from downtown. Great hotel.
