Super 8 Motel Cave City KY

The cleanliness of the motel room left a lot to be desired. There was a dead cockroach on the bathroom floor when we arrived, and it was still there three days later. There was a lot of hair on the walls of the shower which obviously had not been cleaned for some time.

Wouldn't stay again

The hotel staff was friendly, but the property was outdated. It would have been better to stay in Bowling Green at a lower priced, nicer property, and only a 15-20 minute drive to the different caverns. We paid for a three day stay upfront, but had to have our keycard reprogrammed THREE SEPARATE TIMES, even though the clerk's apology was accompanied with "Ok, now it's programmed for the rest of your stay." It's a pain to have climbed two stories with luggage and children and coolers and souvenirs, our hands full, only to realize the darned card wasn't programmed properly.

Good hotel for the money

We went through Cave CIty on our way from Point A to Point B and just needed a safe, clean place to stay on the way. There was some confusion on the reservation, but the manager worked hard to make it right, which we really appreciated. The room was clean, breakfast was simple, but fresh and continually refreshed and restocked, staff was friendly and helpful, even making suggestions for what we might enjoy (or not enjoy) in the area. We were close to area attractions and dining, and it was quiet, even though the hotel was full. We'd stay there again.

Great Place to Stay

Came to Cave City for a "stay-cation" (just 2 hrs from home) to see Mammoth Cave with my 8-yr-old. We arrived a bit early, but we were allowed to swim until our room was ready. Sarah loved the pool and didn't want to get out. The staff was great - I asked for directions to a grocery store to get an apple for my daughter (it's a vacation; I indulge), and the desk clerk pulled out a bowl of apples and told me to pick one. The hotel looked fairly new (maybe renovated?), and was really clean. The room was great, and just off the interstate. Definitely a great place to stay.

Our stay at the hotel was great. We loved having a microwave & frig in our room. The person at the front desk was very courteous. They could expand their continental breakfast and the seating they have for it.
