Very Disappointed

Checked out after first night, was suppose to stay 4. Loud and noisy and people banging on your door late at night is annoying. Will never do business with a Day's Inn again!

Would NOT recommend EVER, to my worst enemy.

We stayed here for a week, and had two rooms. The maids NEVER vacuumed our rugs, and toward the middle were just putting clean towels on the table, THEN they'd just call to see if we needed service today. The desk clerk was more interested in his cell phone and soaps then HELPING customers. The continental breakfast was minimal to say the least. Our room keys kept getting changed, so that everyday when we got back, we had to walk down to the desk and have them reset them so we could get into our room. The garbage in the laundry room NEVER got changed the entire time we were there, so that garbage was overflowing onto the floor. Pizza boxes were piling pretty high. The area is questionable...people from neighboring houses used the laundry facilities, and raced through the parking lot at high speeds. At one point during the week, we had three cop cars come in to arrest some guy. It was a cheap hotel, so we didn't expect the Hilton, but we did expect courteous staff and a clean room. The BED though, was unbelievable. I have a hard time sleeping in hotels, but this bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! And maintanance was pretty awesome. My parents had a broken toilet seat which he changed within minutes, and we had a plugged toilet, which after waiting for 12 hours for the desk clerk to do something (and I had 3 kids in my room), my dad talked to him directly, he came right in with the plunger and took care of it. Took him 3 seconds to do what the desk clerk wouldn't do in 12 hours!! I will NEVER stay within 5 miles of this hotel again!

The Bed

The bed was very hard...could feel the springs or inner workings of the matress , Found myself waking up numerous times during the night in pain. Turning over or flipping from head to toe or cross wise the bed was to no avail...painful at every point. The room itself was nice...the little extras were very nice ...didn't use the safe in the room but had to pay for it...that was not an expence I was expecting... The clerks and cleaning personel were courtious and friendly. That was a plus. My only distain is the bed...unfortunately that put a damper on everything else...little sleep after a busy day was not good.

Days Inn Shore Drive

This Days Inn is definitely not in the best condition, but the staff were extremely friendly and the maintenance man was super quick and happy to do what was needed to make his customers happy. Bobby, the maintenance man, was definitely the star of this stay for us. He replaced our air conditioning unit twice with no grumbling. He really worked hard to make sure we stayed cool and we appreciated it. The room itself was nothing spectacular, but the shower was hot and the water pressure was good. The king-size bed was very comfortable and there were five comfy, fluffy pillows. We had to make three separate reservations to get accommodations since this was the busy Labor Day weekend. This was just about the only hotel in Virginia Beach that was near water and not sold out. We stayed three nights and they moved us from a simple king-bed room after the first night to a king-bed efficiency room for the second and third nights. I’m not sure I understand why we had to move or why we could only get our reservation in three single nights, but that is the way it was when I made my reservation on Triprewards.com. The price for the efficiency room was $99 a night and for the regular king $85 a night. This is with an AARP discount for senior citizens. I would go back to this hotel, as it is fairly reasonable for the beach, especially on Labor Day weekend.

Nasty Hotel

This place looks like a boarding house for contractors and vagrants. Very noisy with young adults running around acting stupid at all hours of the night. The rooms are outdated and filthy. The bed was broken down and there were stains on the walls, hair in the bathroom. The The staff was extremely rude. The owner/manager was actually cursing at a guest one day while I was in the lobby. I had items taken from my room during my stay. They advertise " free wireless internet" but you can only get a good signal while sitting in the lobby. I can't believe that the Days Inn could allow this nasty hotel to carry their name. What has happened to the quality standards of todays hotels.
