Disappointing Stays
I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. Every time in every room I've stayed in at this hotel the toliet has an awful time flushing. Every room I've stayed in here has had this problem.
The hotel is exceptionally noisy even when it's not full. Sometimes in some of the rooms the windows [that go from floor to ceiling]leak when it rains hard. This supposedly 3-star AAA rated hotel doesn't deserve the rating.... more like 2.5 stars. My bathroom had mildew and some red coloration on the caulking--- perhaps blood?
Despite my negative comments, the hotel staff is nice, and it's in a good location. It's across from Oral Roberts University, and is literally located in a Wal-Mart parking lot so it's good to get cheap snacks by walking to Walmart. It's also within walking distance to a few restaurants located in "The Plaza" shopping center, located @ 81st and Lewis Ave.
One thing tourists should know, is that Tulsa is VERY spread out with an extremely poor Bus system, and it's hard to get around Tulsa without having a car. [although there are some restaurants in a 0.5 walk from the hotel]
The Hilton also offers a complimentary airport shuttle--- and a taxi from the Hilton to Tulsa International airport costs $30-$40 one-way, so this is something to consider. HOWEVER, if you're expecting to use the shuttle call ahead, because it only operates certain hours, and if your flight is a late night arrival into Tulsa International, you may have to pay the hefty cab fare. So call, call, call, call the hotel directly before you arrive to check on availibilty. They have a courtesy phone at Tulsa International in the baggage claim to call for the airport shuttle.

8 Floors are currently under construction, and even though I prebooked and prepurchased 2 rooms for my business trip, there were no rooms available. We were redirected to a nearby Doubletree Hotel that was very accomodating and were told that Travelagent would refund my money of $*
