This hotel is right down the street from the Mesilla Workshops at the Preston Contemporary Art Center. The location is very convenient to Mesilla. It's a bit worn but clean. My biggest complaints were that the wireless Internet was very weak in my room and closest ice machine was broken. Over all the place is OK.
Would stay again

Staff friendly and helpful. All amenities expected, including wireless internet, pool, exercise room and breakfast. Although an older property room was clean and everything worked. Prompt hot water for showers. Quiet at night with no disturbances.
Will come back

After driving 10 hours we arrived to fnd out our room was upstairs and no elevator, with three young kids and a lot of luggage I requeste first floor room change, the front desk man was very nice to accomodate us. KUDOS!!!!!!
Nice hotel next to the I-10. Staff's service excellent. Breakfast ok if you like yogourt or wafles, I recomend walking across the street to the gas station, they have a burritos restaurant inside, the best New mexico burritos I ever tried, try the "chile verde con carne".
THEY ENTERED MY ROOM AT NIGHT...and more.

1) I requested a non-smoking room. They put me in one that reeked of smoke. When I asked to be moved, they moved me to a room that was much smaller, of lower quality.
2) Twice they locked me out of my room, saying that my trip had not been paid for - I had to produce the travel website printout to get them to activate the keycard again.
3) One night, after locking me out, I was sleeping - at about 2AM a staff member (I know it was staff, as they used a passkey and not a key card) opened the door and came into my room - backing out when they realized that I was there. It was frightening, and wrecked my sleep for the night.
The bottom line is this: DO NOT STAY HERE - THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! - It looks nice enough from the outside, but you won't enjoy your visit.
