Fabulous Family Resort

This resort is beautiful, the staff exceptional, and waterpark makes for a great family vacation. My children are 9 & 12 so the water park, which includes a zero entry pool, lazy river and two bodyslides, was just right. Check-in was a breeze even though we arrived 2 hours early. While we waited for our room the valet parked our car while we toured the resort, and enjoyed drinks at the grill. We were given our waterpark passes so we could use the park while we waited. Many bellman are available to help with luggage. We stayed in the Deluxe King poolside suite, which was gorgeous, very clean, fabulous sheets and bedding, patio, living room with pull out sofa bed, refrigerator (although it's setup as a minibar--we removed what was in the fridge and put our items in). The one item missing is a microwave, which we would have appreciated. Having two children, and eating out for every meal it would be nice to bring leftovers back to the room and reheat) We really appreciated the complimentary shuttle to two nearby malls. They'll also shuttle you back and forth to Aunt Chilada's Mexican restaurant. Considering how close this resort is to Sky Harbor Airport, I was dissappointed that they didn't provide complimentary airport transportation. The online travel website had the hands down best rate for this property and believe me I checked every site, including the hotel's. Keep in mind that this hotel has a $30/day resort fee which covers 4 passes to the waterpark, valet parking, fitness facility, and some spa access. This fee is not included in the rate and will be charged at the hotel. We felt the services provided were well worth the $30.

Overall, this place has everything you need. The suites were very clean and the ammenities were awesome. The staff was amazing and always very friendly and attentive. The water park was not open during the week however and we did have problems watching a movie in our room. The problem was never fixed even though we were charged. Location for this hotel is great. We were twenty minutes from almost everything. Would stay again.

Too often people complain when they get poor service, but when they have a great experience they don't give credit, where credit is due. Well this is the Exception!!! The Arizona Grand Resort was our home base while dropping off our son at his College, ASU. The facility is only ten minutes from ASU. We were greeted very efficiently and courtesly, and then it go better from there. The room was immaculate, the resort was beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained. The staff, from the room service, to the service personnel were attentive to every detail. The water park, though not on a scale of an amusement park, was perfect for our needs. We dined at two of the restuarants, the food was plentiful and hot. The Room service food bill was a little pricy. I would reccomend this Resort to anyone who asked my opinion. We will definitely stay here again. The Suite we had was very large. There is a beautiful scenic park on the back side of the Resort. It is also very close to Scottsdale. Additionally, it is only ten minutes away from the Sky Harbor Airport. Great location for Corporate functions and weddings. Great family Resort!!! We are from New York, and would rank this among any other top shelf Hotel.

Hotel Not Bad

The beds were comfortable we had a 3 bedroom condo ground floor with a gulf course view. The condo was large with everything you would need. There is a walmart and other stores within a short driving distance. The pool was just the right size for my 2 teenage daughters and they enjoyed themselves in the fittness room. There was also other activities they had at the hotel but we did not have time to participate. The check in was smooth and we were asked about seeing the other properties, but was not harrassed. When we called house keeping they responded quick. The airconditioning unit was not as loud as the previous travelers s wrote. The only problems we had was with ants in the kitchen, but we only notice them when I left a cup on the counter. We did not keep anything laying on the counter and did not have the time to use the kitchen. The other problem we incountered was the dryer took forever to dry clothes. There also was a time when the people above us sound like they were going to come through the floor because they were walking and jumping loud. This did not occur for the complete stay. I would stay again and refer. the staff tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible and would have fix the ant problem and the dryer if I had called for repairs. We did alot of traveling during our stay, so we were gone most of our stay .

Good value for the money.

Clean, quiet and nicely appointed rooms. When updating this hotel, however, they did not update the tv sets; they must be at least 7-8 years old. We had come from another hotel in the San Francisco area (Staybridge Suites) and they had nicer large flat panel tv sets. Comfortable queen size beds in a fairly large bedroom. The pillows were a little flat, though. Separate living area was also of ample size. The bathroom, however, was a bit on the small size. The sink was outside the bathroom which was helpful when trying to get ready. There was also a sink in the living room area which also came in handy. Aunt Chillada's, a Mexican restaurant on the hotel's property, was very good and reasonably priced. Oasis Water Park was a hit with my husband and two sons (18 & 16 years old). The lazy river was quite relaxing and enjoyable. I'm not sure of the cost of the "resort suite" if you are booking directly with the resort but we got a good price, including a rental car. Would recommend this resort to all and would stay here again.
