Away from Boardwalk but that's not necessarily bad....

I had a good time at Harrah's. No $5 Let It Ride tables, but they're a dying breed anyway. A nice property, great view from my room (Harbour Tower), really nice spa facilities, surprisingly good pizza joint on site, very friendly staff (spa, bars, etc.). You are a bit isolated from other places, but they know this and provide a pretty complete environment. It was actually a little ritzier than I expected, which isn't really my thing, but you can make out OK on food prices etc. if you're a little bit careful. Biggest negative: charging for wifi in the room. That's so 2004.

We stayed at the Harrah's for a mini vacation to Atlantic City. The hotel was away from the main strip (which was kind of trashy) so we really liked that we were in a nice safe area. The hotel and room were clean and well maintained. The room was large, but the view was not anything special. Several dining options, although many were expensive, including a great 24 hour room service. The new pool was closed during our stay, but it looked beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Highly recomended, Clean, nice rooms with water view

My wife and I stayed here January 2-4th 2008. When we got there we were reserved a smoking room but asked for non-smoking and they changed it without any problems at all. when we got to the room were surprised how nice it was. Being a casino thats been there a while- they definatly keep up with the property-its beautiful. We stayed in the marina tower and the room was spacious, clean had views of the water and a good size bathroom. Casino was larger and had lots of choices for slots and table games. Almost all the staff was friendly and helpful-asked if you needed help before you even asked. The only staff I noticed that was not friendly was a couple of food cashier workers. The Pool Is by far incredible-set in a tropical like atmoshere, heated pool and large hot tub and indoor area is about 80F. I would stay for the pool alone. The only con is that it is in the marina district-about 8 minutes from the boardwalk by car. But Harrah's takes care of it by having a Free shuttle that takes you to Ceasars, Showboat, and Ballys. Just sign up for a players card for free. Also the food at harrah's is pricey but good.

We loved the hotel!!! The room was exceptional; the staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. The shuttle to the other casinos was very convenient, timely, and free! The wait was minimal. Leave your car in the parking lot at Harrah's and take the shuttle. The buffet was also exceptional, especially since it was free using the Gold Card. However, paying for the buffet would be well worth the cost. We would stay at this hotel again, without hesitation. When you visit Atlantic City, we would recommend a stroll on the Boardwalk -- it is lovely. Directions leaving the Hotel to the Parkway were excellent.
