Very satisfied with hotel room and location for convenience for visiting the Disney parks. The hotel offered several ameneties that we did not use; we were there for the purpose of going to WDW and that occupied our time. This was our second stay at Best Western Lakeside and we'd do it again...unless we find a motel of equal value that doesn't require us to pay extra for ameneties that we don't use.
Someplace better is probably available for the same price!!!

The only plus for this place is the location. Very conveniently located near lots of restaurants if you dont want to drive. The lobby was nice and pleasant. However the room was a different story. The carpet was filthy. The refrigerator had a lawn of mold growing all over. The hotel was kind enough to change it promptly with a clean, very noisy one!!! The beds were very uncomfortable- like you would sleeping on a bunch of springs. The cheap mattress bounced you around with the slightest movement. The shuttle service is good with well spaced drop of timings in the morning. However for some reason, they pick you up at the end of the day just before the parks close- so forget seeing the fireworks if you are taking the shuttle back to the hotel. Will look for another place next time.
EXCELLENT PLACE FOR THE MONEY

I spent 9 nights and it was one of the best places, after my timeshare, that I would stay in an emergency. I didn't paid attention to the people that try to sell Mystic Dunes. I just told them that I ewwas not interested and sghow them my Westagate card.
Beware of traveling with a baby

After booking the hotel through online travel website, I called the hotel to ask for a crib for my 10 month old, and was told that a note would be made on my reservation. Upon checking in, I was told that there were no more cribs available. A crib is not an optional piece of furniture when traveling with a toddler! The receptionist told me that I simply requested a crib but did not have a reservation for one. It seems to me that a hotel that caters to families on vacation would have enough cribs, and if they don't, there is a Wal-Mart across the street where they could easily purchase more. I was met with rudeness and diisinterest. My baby had to sleep on the floor or the carseat, depending on the night. VERY upsetting.
Bad experience!!

The hotel's lobby was very nice when I arrived so I figured the rooms would be nice, which they were. They were nice and clean, no mold, but the room it self smelled and the shower head kept fallin off everytime we took a shower. Now the outside of the rooms that was a total different story omg they were disgusting the smelled of urine and garbage from the trash cans made me sick and the stairs were all dirty. My friend was down two rooms from me and she was terrifed because the guys from across the other rooms kept whistling and hoolering at her at night when we returned to the rooms. My boyfriend kept going out to make sure they knew someone was watching out for her...terrible experience. Will never stay again!!!!
