DEPLORABLE AREA

Booked suite hoping for pleasant night's rest. Everywhere except in the lobby had an unpleasant odor. In our room ceiling was crumbling with pieces on the floor. Room had an inside entrance for "added" security, except the door leading to the outside walkway did not lock. Outside our window was a group of people drinking, carrying on and using very profane language until late hours. These were not hotel guests. Husband was "solicited" as he and I walked down the walkway. I would not recommend at all for women traveling alone. Awful neighborhood! Did not feel safe at all. Ciontinental breakfast one of the worst I have seen. Romm temperature in the bedroom was too warm, while other room was pleasant.
A Decent Hotel

The room was well appointed. However parking is severely limited and we had to leave the dehumidifier on the whole time as it was so humid in the room. On the other hand Pensacola as a whole is super-humid, so it was nice that they had a dehumidifier available.
My only real complaint is that on our second night when we got back from the beach our keys had stopped working and we had to trek to the lobby to get them reset.

I seen a few of the reviews on here and well kind of concerned me but sounded mostly like people just crying! This hotel was great staff was super friendly and great with directions! Wifi worked like a top no issues. Breakfast was good not a whole lot there but there is a denny's less then 20 feet from the hotel if you want something more. When you book this and fly in don't mapquest the directions they sucked! Take airport road to n. Davis take a right your there in 5 minutes. Look for the denny's sign on the right it's a little easier to see it's right past the interstate. It's close to the 10 west to the 110 south your at the beach or downtown in a few minutes. Leaving the hotel only sucked in high traffic times (rush hour) but was still a breeze the light stops traffic you get out with no issues! Close to all kinds of shopping university mall is 3 minutes away airport was 5 and the navy base was 25! When I return I will choose this hotel without a doubt can't beat the price the service!
Not the Best La Quinta I've Stayed at, but...

Adequate would be the best way to describe my stay here. I've stayed at two other La Quinta Inns that were definitely much nicer than this. When I saw "High-Speed Internet Access," I assumed it was in ALL rooms. The first room they gave me did not have a modem or RJ45 wall jack, so after a little negotiating with the front desk, they moved me to a room on the same floor that had a modem (fortunately before I got all unpacked). The carpeting, draperies, and bedspreads were rather old as was the a/c & heating system but at least it worked. The clock radio was not intuitively programmable so I ended up using the hotel wake-up call service. One came about half an hour earlier than requested. Room access is from the outside rather than enclosed hallways. The laundry is also outside, not in a room like in most other places I've stayed. Bathroom was very small. Housekeeping forgot to give me a new coffee pack one morning. I actually wouldn't mind staying here again, but I might try another place first to see if can get a better value.
I can not believe I put my parents here

We were having a family get together and I had my parents and grandmother coming to town. In a misguided effort to help them save a few bucks I recommended this location over the normal hotel they say at. First off it is not by University Mall (those are mostly new hotels). This is by the interstate and Davis Hwy. Anyone from Pensacola can tell you how hard it is to get in and out of this location. Further this hotel is OLD. It is one of those pull up to your room type of locations (did not feel safe). The room has a feeling of a dungeon in that it has cement blocks for walls. As to getting the reservation that was wrong as well; had reserved a joining room...none given. They kept everyone waiting for so long on the room that we finally took a key to one room just to drop off the bags so that we were not late for other appointments (note we were trying to check in at 4:00 p.m.) While waiting I noticed at least 7 people return to the front desk with problems with keys and hotel in general. The saying you get what you pay for does not do this justice aside from a fishing trip with some buddies I would never recommend this to anyone.
