My sister and I checked into the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center with the anticipation of visiting friends and family in the area. Our room was large and comfortable, the beds were a mile high and cushiony, and the bathroom had two sinks, two thick terry robes, and a good hot shower with lots of water pressure. Unfortunately both of us came down with a 36 hour flu bug over the course of our short stay that put us out of commission, but what better place to be sick than in the lap of luxury? The pool area was convenient and spacious, the hot tub was truly hot and not tepid, the desk staff was helpful, and hallway noise was minimum. My only criticism, which I conveyed to the hotel directly, was the fact that while there is a coffee/tea kiosk which also provides orange juice, there are no pastries of any type offered. The Sundry Shop sells vending machine packages for $2.50 each, but apparently the only way to get a Continental Breakfast of any sort is to use their full service restaurant. That is not convenient for travelers just wanting a quick bite, in a hurry, or not interested in the expense that the sit-down meal would entail. Also, there is a daily $16 Facilities fee that doesn't include use of the Business Center just Internet from the room and some odd perks. We didn't need their complimentary rental bicycles, we did need access to a computer (not having brought a laptop with us) and a cinnamon roll in the morning. I don't think that's a lot to ask for $16.

Room set up was perfect. Two sinks and and 2 entrances for the closet. Room was nice and updated. Did not experience any problems with the internet access and read in other reviews. Would visit this property again.

What a gem!

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Scottsdale Resort. What a lovely hotel! Very convenient to shopping (Kierland Commons and Fashion Square Mall) and dining. There's also a casino several miles away. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable, with a flat-screen tv. There's a patio with a gas firepit overlooking the golf course. It's a perfect spot for a cocktail or two during the cooler Scottsdale evenings. We'd definitely go back!.
