I haven't been to the Riveredge in a couple of years and when I walked in the door I was amazed. The whole lobby has been updated and looks wonderful. I can't wait to see what other changes they have in store. Everythnig was perfect during our stay and we definitly can't wait to come back.

My husband and I have been staying here every year for the last 6 years.We just got home from another wonderful time at the Rivers Edge. The staff are very curtious, rooms are clean. Rooms are also very sound proof. The pools are clean and you have beautiful views of Bolt castle, the st. lawrence, and the bay. We understand they've had a few changes and Management is going through a little hard time, but our trip was the best ever this year. We already made reservations for next year. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Good hotel - not great for kida

Pros: It was a great hotel, right on the river. Convenient 5 min walk to downtown. Balcony on every room. If it was my wife & I alone, I'd definitely go again. Friendly staff & maids.
Cons: we travelled with 2 yr old - restaurant had no kids food on the menu, forcing us to go out for food and the immediate area is just pubs/burger/pizza joints. Also, we planned on using the wireless for looking up additional activities in the area, and the wireless wouldn't work.
If you go, I'd suggest you call to ensure your reservation. Our reservation and another reservation booked thru online services were "lost" due to "computer problems". They put us up in a better room than booked at no extra cost (the rooms we booked were sold out).
Traveling with a Group

When traveling with a group I would NOT recommend staying at the RiverEdge Resort. The staff was rude to the families that we were staying with and very unaccomodating. For a Resort this size in a "vacation location" one would think that the staff would be well prepared to handle a party of 6 in the lounge area. The so called Pancake Resaurtant smelled great in but the still frozen pancakes were less than to be desired. A suggestion to the Doctor from Kentucky that owns the Resort you might want to consider closing during the off season to avoid a bad reputation - the same night that our families were staying another group of families from a different location experienced the same disappointment.,

Nice room, Clean, on the water looking at Boldt Castle. Many things at hotel to do. Great food, Great service, Friendly staff. Will go back
