No Room At The Inn

Hotel Huntington Beach. This was where we were originally booked. But when we arrived to check in we were told that there were no more room available. So we were sent to another hotel about a mile away. The it took two days for the two hotels to work out who would pay for the room. Both nights we returned after being out all day to find ourselves locked out of the room until making arraignments at the front desk.

What a deal!

Great location north of major mall just off I-405. Convenient to Little Saigon, beaches. Well-maintained, friendly staff, free wireless internet in all rooms at a terriffic price.

I have stayed here many times on business. Has a good morning buffet for about $10 but rooms are aging, weight room is in disrepair, service is limited. But for the money, its you best buy.

Not bad for the price

Although they initially made a mistake, asigned me a non-vacant room, yet the staff was really nice and helpful during my stay. The hotel is ideally located in the middle of all the fun stuff in south Cali, but don't count on staying inside the hotel and have fun. Pool is old, rooms are OK, and clean. You just need to call housekeeping before you leave in the morning to get your room cleaned before 3 pm!

The hotel:
The first thing about this hotel is that although the location is generally good (right off the Beach Boulevard exit of Interstate 405), it is behind a boring mall so it's quite deserted, especially at night.

And since it is close to the highway, depending on where your room is, you can hear the cars going by. Ours was as close to the highway as possible (trust me, that wasn't on purpose).

The room was basic, clean, and didn't smell. Since it was our honeymoon, we should have invested into a slightly better hotel. It wasn't seedy, more corporate than leisure, but all we did was sleep there so it didn't bother us much. It was very quiet and we liked that.

There aren't many amenities at this hotel, but there is a pool.

The area:
The hotel is only a couple of miles from Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farms. There is every type of restaurant a person could need within a 10 minute drive.

Huntington Beach is about 15-20 minutes away. The pier is a very popular place, and very nice in the warmer months.

John Wayne Airport is about 15 minutes away.

My husband and I recommend this hotel if you are on a business trip, but not on a honeymoon or leisure trip.
