Good Brand, Poor Hotel

First let me say that I like Hyatt Place -- they have a funky and functional room design, comfortable beds, and great TVs, though the bathrooms are a little small. However, this particular location lets the brand down. The hotel simply wasn't as clean as other Hyatt Place locations at which I've stayed. We purchased pastries at the food counter and when we got them to our room discovered they had mold growing on them. While there was no question about reversing the charge for those cinnamon-flavored petrie dishes, the staff did not remove the other pastries from the display, but left them up for sale. The hotel was completely overrun with noisy and unruly children and teens staying for a sports tournament; while I acknoweldge that the behavior of the children is the responsibility of the parents, we along with several other guests asked management to have security attempt to restore some quiet in the halls, particularly as the night progressed. Nothing was done, and the noise was such that it made it impossible to get a restful night's sleep. Finally, the staff -- while never rude or unpleasant -- seemed indifferent at best to the guest experience. Overall, a very disappointing experience from a brand I like.

Horrible Mangement!

I made this reservation online and went with a review that said they were pet friendly. Since I didn't see the Pet Friendly sign on the website I called to confirm and was told that all was okay with my reservation and no problem about my pet. I was traveling to see my daugther who is in college and wanted to see her dog. When we arrived and checked in no one mentioned the pet policy. As we were entering the hotel with our dog a man approached us and started yelling at us that we must leave immediately, no dogs allowed. He had no name tag, no cards and no identificatin that he belonged to the hotel. This was a new "assistant GM" and apprently when they changed to Hyatt they stopped taking pets. I am canceling my 'Hyatt affiliation and will avoid them for all future trips.

WOW - this place was awesome! Everything is brand new - the beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious. It's close enough to the airport, but still far away from all the airport traffic. There are a couple great restaurants at the Quarry Mall down the street. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and eventhough we had a problem with our door know not working, they quickly gave me another room. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable - the whole family enjoyed the trip and our stay.
