It was good except for the bugs

We stayed there in March and the rooms were great except for the bed bugs that we got bit by. We were instantly switched to a new room and were given a credit for the $4.50 a night charge. After a couple days went by and myself and my husband were broke out into red bumps all over our bodies from the bites. We itched for about two weeks. I didn't break out until the last day of our stay and my husband a couple days into it. They were all over our bed. The hotel staff was helpful and the room once we got into the new one was nice and clean. I constantly saw them cleaning the rooms. I was upset about the bed bugs, but you hear it on the news all the time and there are a ton of hotels with the same problem. You can't expect royalty on the price it costs to stay there. The pool was nice and it was very convienent. They do need to update the little workout room because all the machines except two treadmills are broken. We would definitely stay here again for the price and the convience. I think it is going to take a while before the renovations are even close to done though.

It was ok!

The hotel was ok for the price. We checked in late afternoon and we decided to take a shower, well the hose for the shower had ducktape all over it and sprayed everywhere. So they changed our room. Restrauant was closed so we had to go somewhere every morning to eat.

The worst thing I can say about our stay was they were still under renovation. We stayed here last year when the remodel was going on and had looked forward to seeing the finished product. But thats it for bad. Housekeeping was very friendly and considerate to those of us who slept in. You didn't hear your neighbors, and the beds are super comfy. Key W Kools is within walking distance (a fabulous restaurant). As well as IHOP for breakfeast. Bath tubs could use a facelift as well, They were a bit stained, don't know if that is in the works or not.(the rest of the room was redone and homey) Staff at check in was very sweet. It was my Mom and I so Disney wasn't really what we wanted to do in our free time and they helped with ideas of what they enjoyed doing and where they enjoyed eaten. We were not disapointed. stayed for 10 days cant wait to go back. Hurry up and get the bar on the roof done so we can watch the fireworks next year. It is right in the heart of disney so there were lots of kids by the pool which made it undesirable for us as adults. But we knew that going in. Staff recomended a beach on the gulf coast worth the drive. After I look at my rateins I feel the need to say, nothings perfect. For what we paid they exceeded our expectations again this year.

One Word: YUCK!!

My 16 year old daughter & I stayed at this hotel during Spring Break 2009. Usually when we visit Orlando we stay in a condo or home. Since my son & mother were not with us, we decided to go cheap & stay in this hotel. BIG MISTAKE!! The room was too small, even for two people!! The room was overall clean but the air conditioning kept me up most of the night; every time it kicked on, there was a loud noise eminating from it!! The back of the hotel was terrible! I'm assuming there was some sort of renovation going on but it was hideous to look at. The pool did not look appealing at all, although my daughter decided to take a dip in it; I passed. The area itself was very seedy. Next time I visit Orlando, I don't care how much it costs, I will be booking a condo or a home for my next visit.

We have stayed many times in orlando. I read the reviews on the hotel and thought it was going to be a coin toss as to what to expect. The hotel that was closed next to it that was talked about in some of the reviews I did stay their years ago. This hotel we stayed out now was good. I could tell that they were trying to do something with the hotel. The whole area has really run down. The parks were pretty slow also. Would I say it was a 3 star hotel? No. Overall I would say it was maybe a 2 an half. The rooms were great. the staff was great. The pool was great. The outside looked rough. But I guess what people expect is everything to perfect. And for the most part it was. The have redid all the rooms and they look great. But the whole property is old. In about a year I bet it will be one of the nicest hotels on the part on highway 192. I took my family and I would stay there again. never needed anything. If you can get past the old elevator and the old paint on the outside and get into the room you won't be sorry. Years ago we stayed at a hotel right down the road from this one and I would stay here over that one. Don't let negative people keep you from this hotel. I've never wrote a review before but I was concerned before I got there and I thought maybe I could shed some light on the whole experience.
