Not happy with stay!

Let me start with saying that we had just stayed at Comfort Suites in El Paso amd Killeen and were very pleased with our stays at those locations. I can not say the same with our stay at this location. In our 1st room we found a large, live cockroach on the ceiling. I reported this to the staff and asked for a new room. In our 2nd room we found mold in the shower and the sink would not easy drain. The beds were hard and unfortable compared to the other locations. We had an early flight (6:00 am) and their shuttle did not start until 6:00 am, so we had to take a cab. Over all, we were very disappointed with this hotel.

Austin has a no smoking policy. You can tell that the smoking rooms still have that "Cig" smell. Carpets need to be cleaned as well as drapes. Other than that, good value, large rooms, nice little bar, friendly people. Lobby was very welcoming. Would stay there again. Very close to airport for early AM flights.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in July 2006. The hotel lobby is very nice and newly remodeled. They have a bar, which I was not expecting it to have. The rooms are very large and have all necessities (iron, ironing board, hair dryer, internet connection). The only complain during my stay was that my room smelled like a smoker had stayed there and it was a non-smoking room. But, they brought me some spray which helped. Very friendly and helpful staff!!

Austin is a very neat city, one I'd visit again. The hotel was near the airport, but wasn't noisy. The connecting roadways were very convenient to go downtown, where all the action is.
