Amazing staff! Very friendly, yet professional. It was a very nice hotel, some things were a little dated, but overall elegant. The only problem we had was that during our stay only one elevator was working which really slowed the hotel traffic, especially in a hotel that size. Overall, our stay was wonderful, it was a great hotel with great location, really close to mall, near old town and beaches.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is the HOTEL to stay in San Diego. Is super clean, lots of towels, great bathroom, amazing bed, huge room with everything you need and the BEST LOCATION. I didn't have a car, so I just walked a little and I got the trolley. I stop to Fashion Valley and 2 stops to IKEA and like 3 stops to down town. The pool, the gym, the service and the staff GREAT. From now on I only will stay here. The best choice you can make,

Nice but additional costs . . .

Was a nice hotel, not great, not bad. Wasn't as nice as other Doubletree hotels that I have stayed at, but nevertheless still a nice stay. A couple of items that should be known PRIOR to making a reservation is that there is a charge for parking, $15/day and if you require Internet in your hotel room, that would be another $12/day. So while the initial cost may be cheaper then other hotels, the additional costs start to add up quickly.

Great Value!

Went to celebrate our anniversary. Picked this due to being near the trolley line so we didn't have to drive anywhere. Booked their romance package and couldn't have been happier. The staff was attentive the rooms were clean and nice. Comfortable bed, and wonderful champaigne and strawberries. Not to meniton if you book the executive floor you also get appitisers as well. Hated having to check out. The only thing I could say was not the best was the selection at night from the restraunt. Other than that the stay was wonderful will book again soon when we need a get away!

i think my expectations were high....BUT WORTH

Well our first problem was that we stayed during 4th of july so that on its self was not good......We were next to a room with children running and screaming. I don't even know how many kids they had. We don't have any kids so that didn't help set the mood. So my next issue was that my sheets were not clean and neither was the pillow with the welcome note, I just didn't appreciate that. I do have to say they were quick to clean that up while we were gone. We are not the type to complain about things but I really did appreciate the manager x for taking care of our stay and making sure that the rest of our stay was great, very friendly person he was. He really made the difference, and I would love to stay there again because of his effort to make it all better. Ver convinient to find shops and food less than five miles, I could even say walking distance. Not too romantic for our honeymoon getaway but worth the stay.
