Description: The room was very nice. We had a king size bed which left room for a couple of nice chairs, a desk and chair, and room to move around in.
Our room was on the third floor in the northwest quadrant, and we could see the hot air balloons and fireworks from our room. Because it was the first weekend in Albuquerque, we also attended a Square Dance weekend. We don't go to the balloon launch field on Saturday or Sunday morning. One of the local TV stations televise the balloon fiesta and they would show certain balloons launching and we would look out our window and they would just be clearing the tree and building tops.
This motel advertises that it is about two miles from the launch field, however it is a three mile walk each way so don't plan on staying here if you want to walk to the balloon fiesta.
However, at 5:00am it is an easy eight to ten minute drive and there is plenty of parking close to the entry gates.
The motel serves a nice Continental Breakfast each morning including fresh fruit, danish, cereal, bagels, toast, juices, and coffee. They claim 6:00 to 9:00, but during the week of the fiesta they had it set up by 5:00 each morning.
The people at the motel were all very pleasant. We made our initial reservations over the Internet and there were a couple of problems including the fact that the Internet site made them for less than they would normally charge during the Balloon Fiesta. However, the lady we talked to got the problems straightened out and honored the rate the internet site quoted. I would definitely stay at this motel for future trips to the Fiesta.
