We were very pleased with the renovated Red Roof Inn in Rockford. Very good location and a very well done up grade to the motel. We liked the all inclusive king room with work area fridge and microwave. The only down side was that in the morning the wi-fi internet service was extremely slow.

Everything was nice and clean. I had a microwave and a mini fridge that I didn't know I was going to have, and the price was very good. It was a good, comfortable room.
Credit Card Users Beware!

The accomodations were okay. Great for a short trip or for a business traveler that only has to stay for a day. For a family it is not ideal. The rooms were very small had a non-pleasant smell. I had to purchase a "plug-in" to get rid of the odor. The beds were hard and not comfortable at all. The biggest disappointment of the whole trip is that we had to stay another night due to an illness and we had to charge another night to our credit card. What we didn't know is that the next day (according to the hotel) the night guard received a phone call from someone posing as a credit card company and gave our information to them. The hotel called our house and sent a letter to our house immediately, but made no attempt to call the credit card company to let them know what negligance the hotel did, nor did they call our cell phones which numbers they had. When we got home (8 days later) we got the messages, the letter, and $* of non-authorized charges on our card. We called to cancel the card and the credit card company took care of the charges, but it still leaves a scary feeling in your gut with who has your information and what are they going to do with it.
Nice rooms for a nice price at a good location

We were very pleased with the cleanliness and appearance of our room and the location (right off the highway) was nice. My only complaint is that the office is not clearly marked nor easily visible, at least not at night. I drove around the whole building, couldn't find it and then parked and walked until I did.

inexpensive and clean rooms. the staff was polita and helpful for anything we needed. was very impressed
