Worlds of fun hotel

Extremely close to World's of Fun, decent breakfast. The pool was cloudy and cold. There was some mold on the ceiling of the shower. I would stay there again just because it's so close to Worlds of Fun and you just want to crash after your day. I wouldn't however if I were to spend several days in KC.

Family Trip

Clean hotel, friendly and helpful hotel staff. Stayed here since it was right across the interstate from WOF. Hotel was very quiet even with middle school baseball teams staying there. Our room faced the interstate and we could not hear the traffic. I would like to see them start breakfast later on the weekend. Breakfast starting at 6 am is good for the business traveler but not for weekend families. It was very hectic at 8:30 with everyone trying to get something to eat. I would stay at this hotel again.

Overrated

Not comfortable and not worth the price. The staff was friendly and the appearance of the room was nice, but those were the only real positives. The mattress was hard; my whole body felt bruised after 5 hours. The elevator smelled like bug spray, and the corridor reeked of cigarette smoke. No refrigerator or microwave in the room. Only ONE vending machine for drinks, and it was not stocked. The breakfast area was nasty. Every table was dirty, but much worse than that, the lady who was "cleaning" used a stack of napkins to wipe the trash can lid, then returned the napkins to the counter for the customers’ use.

Still the same service

We were there in July and the front desk was very helpful giving us directions to local areas of interest. We did not need much assitance this time as we were not doing much but the service was great. Very courteous! I did not like the bathroom door in the 2 queen bed room. One has to get out of the way to close in from the inside. I am hard of hearing so I have to crank up the tv. Fortunately I was in a room by the end, top floor. Unfortunely, the volume does not go all the way up on the tv. So I was not happy but my husband was glad!

desk personnel helpful and friendly, very courteous. Gave great directions to mall. Rooms very clean. TV could be a little higher for viewing from the bed in a prone position. Chlorine odor was pretty strong in pool. The only room left avaialble from Travelocity was the handicapped accessible room which was ok but I did wonder why it was in the middle of the floor and not closer to an exit in the event of a fire or something. Breakfast was neat. they had hard boiled eggs, waffle maker, and SOS, among other items. So my husband got to have enough to fill him up and I had extra bread items to eat (not good for the figure!)
