Mold and Mildew

There was a smell of mildew as I entered my room I was in bldg #3 and even though it is close to bldg #1, where the computers and coffee/breakfast is served, I didnt feel safe walking there after dark due to poor lighting. However, that said, I'm from a bigger city with many more lights. The staff were adequate but not very friendly.
Overall it was almost adequate for an economical one night stay, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay there longer. The best thing about the hotel is that its close to a lot of conveniences, stores restaurants. If you do stay there try to get into bldg #1, I didnt realize that I would be 2 bldg. in the back.
At one point there was a group of men hanging out behind bldg 2...I dont know if they worked there or not, but when i drove by in my new looking rental car they were staring. I felt a bit uncomfortable andI was worried that my rental car would be gone in the morning.

Dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Lobby area near room had such a bad smell we had to hold our noses. Didn't look like anyone had vacuumed carpeted areas in quite some time. Room wasn't very clean either. Do not recommend staying in this hotel. We only needed somewhere to sleep for one night, but didn't expect a Comfort Inn to be so dirty.

"Our reserved room had 1 towel and not vacuumed. Moved to another room, its shower curtain was covered in black mold. Reported to front desk the next morning, took all day and several complaints to get attention to our list of complaints. Still got only decaf coffee."

This hotel is located conveniently to I-64 in the west end of Richmond. I had to be moved 3 times before the room was acceptable. Cleanliness was the major problem, however, some of the compontents, such as the television and the windows, did not work properly. The staff was helpful and apologetic.
Nice but not so clean

Registration was easy and helpful. Room was not very clean, large cobwebs in the corners and maid did not replace used linens. Fitness room very nice. Not nearly as nice as other Comfort Inns where I have stayed.
