I mostly booked this hotel because it was less than one mile from the concert I was attending. The pictures looked good and the price was great. When we arrived at the hotel, we were surprised at just HOW nice it was. Check-in was a breeze and the room was beautiful. It was a little small, but for two people and one night, it was not a problem. It took a little learning, but we had to use our room key to use the elevator, which made us feel safe. The downstairs bistro was also very good and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again.

VERY secure & the bed was comfy

However, my room was TINY. Mind you, I somehow wound up with a king-size bed, so there was no room for a table & comfy chair in the place. The staff was kind, and I appreciated the chilled, filtered water, but it would have been nice if there had been more than one ice machine in the entire hotel...ice is downstairs from the lobby. Supposedly, there were ice buckets available, but I never saw any. I did like that I could grab extra coffee, creamer, blankets, & pillows, as well as irons & ironing boards) from the supply closet on my floor (every floor has such a closet). I also liked that they allowed guests to print documents for free (it took me a while to figure out how to send documents to their printer, but I was grateful to be able to print my boarding pass. Not sure that I would stay at this hotel again, but the price was right, the bed was WAY comfy (I like a very firm mattress), and you can't beat the the safety-factor. I really liked how restricted access to the rooms was (you have to use your key-card to use the elevator...only when going up).

Great Boutique hotel

I was very surprised to see my room at this great little boutique hotel. For the price, I expected it to be like the Lancaster in Houston, nice but in need of touchups. However, the room was perfect. All the details in the room were very new and clean. The extra $10 we spent for the larger room was worth it since the price was good in the first place, and the rooms are not that large. The larger rooms are corner rooms, so you get windows on two sides. Furnishings and details are modern. There is no bath tub, but a nice walk in shower, which is actually a lot better since you do not have to take a big step to get into the shower.

Definitely going back

I stayed overnight at Club Quarters with my sister while we were in town for the Houston Opera. We got the suite with kitchenette which was wonderful. A little small for staying a week or more (unless you really like the people you're staying with) but not cramped. The kitchenette included a stove top and a combination microwave and convection oven and I think the mini fridge had a freezer section. They provided a coffee maker, tea kettle; dishes; glasses; mugs; plates; silverware; pots and pans; oven mitts; can opener; a cookbook; a collinder; sponges; dish soap; a drying rack and just about everything but a glass casserole dish for the oven. They also had menus for several local restaurants where you could order through room service and have it delivered to the hotel and added to your hotel bill. On slight drawback, the suite said it came with a foldaway bed but ours was set up with a table and desk area instead. We just ended up sharing but I mentioned it to the desk the next day and they said that we could request a sleeper couch. Next time we'll call first and have that set up but we were just too tired to ask when we got in. Valet is mandatory but not terribly more expensive than regular down town parking and they were nice enough to allow us to leave our car in their parking even after we checked out so we wouldn't have to move it to another pay lot downtown for just a few hours. Staff was friendly and we'll defintely be staying again the next time we're in the area. Also hotel is in a very nice area.We had no qualms walking to show and back even at 11pm.
