Transient workers

Looks like transient workers reside long term in the back half of the hotel. The hotel is run down and poorly maintained. Overall seedy neighborhood. One night and we were out of here.

Pool had a shoe, a T-shirt and towels in the bottom of it, surface was covered with bugs (clerk said they didn't have a skimmer-told my son to swim around the bugs), ice machine out of order, pop machine completely sold out, breakfast was a joke, many guests pay on a weekly basis and several work at the motel, BAD area of town. The complimentary bathroom toiletries are of very good quality, though. NO PRIDE IN OWNERSHIP AT THIS HOTEL.

Generally, we did not feel safe from the time we arrived until the time we left the next morning. The room was clean and you could tell there had be attempts to update. However, the room across the hall from us got a visitor knocking on the door about every 30 minutes. They were not loud but there was regular knock that was enough to disturb your sleep.

The rooms was dirty(floors and sheets). When I requested a frshset of sheets, i was told that the manager did not have access to the closet!. The smell of meldew was intolerable. The maintenance guy looked like he came out of a scarry movie, so were the peole wandering in the halls. It felt unsafe and unsanitary.

Rundown hotel

Though, the concierge was kind, the hotel lacked all else. My room was dirty. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom and a red stain on the carpet. There was not an elevator to get to the second floor. It was very difficult to carry all our luggage up the stairs.THe walls are neon yellow and very dirty. The people that roam the halls seem as if they came off the street. Their was a man with two large rotweilers roaming the hall. I felt very unsafe. The pool was very dirty. I will never stay here again. I rather spend an extra twenty dollars a night and stay at a clean hotel.
