What a place. The best thign about it was the location. It was steps from Bourbon Street!
The place was a dump. Air conditioning was sporadic. The first room I was given was filthy dirty....just gross. Had I not bought a package I would have walked.
Staff was ok.

Don't expect a whole lot out of a "budget" hotel in the French Quarter, these rooms have been abused and the staff could not possiblty keep up with the party goers. Location was prime, but maybe next time I will stay a bit further out from Bourbon Street. Staff did their very best with the bunch that stay here! Breakfast at the "sister" hotel (St. Louis) was an unexpected delight.

The hotel is old,but charming. The carpeting was damp, but this was due to it having been cleaned before our arrival. It dried by the end of our 2nd day. From our quiet room on the top floor we could see Brennan's courtyard. Our bathroom shower gave us a problem, but the front desk clerk came to our room and showed us how to operate it. The location is FANTASTIC! Between Bourbon and Royal. Not the Ritz, but I would stay here again when the price is right.

When we arrived at 9:30 pm with our tired child they told us they did not have any sheets! They said they would give us our money back but could not help us find another hotel. Needless to say.... I would not recommend this hotel.
