The minute we arrived we were treated like VIP's. We only stayed two nights and the staff knew us by name. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay!

The Emily Morgan Hotel was excellent in so many ways! First of all, the staff was friendly, helpful, professional, and down-to-earth...a very nice combination. The building was simply beautiful, very elegant, especially the exterior and the lobby area. The room was clean and contemporary, and we had a great view of the Alamo from our 10th floor window. The location was just steps away from the action, which made it very convenient day and evening. The pool area wasn't great, and the bar never seemed too lively, but that would not deter me from visiting in the the future, I would stay there again!

Great Location!

The location is excellent. Beds were soooooo soft, and comfortable, and clean. Hallways were dated, but the room made up for it. Room was modern/cool. A/C was quiet and in perfect condition. Staff was courteous and respectful. Hotel parking was $28 day, but I found $8 dollar parking one block down that allowed me overnight parking. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Mall just a five minute walk away. I really enjoyed the stay, would definitely stay there again. I got my room, w/double beds for $* a night on this site, which made it that much better. only thing I disliked was the lack of privacy with the sliding visible silhouette bathroom doors. (okay if you are with your mate, but friend or family member - uh-uh)

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We arrived late in the evening around 9pm. The minute we walked in the customer service was horrible. After we got our room keys we waited and waited for an elevator...then 10 minuets later the service elevator door opened... it was the only one working and NASTY. After taking the elevator up we were taken in the back way since it was the service elevator and fianlly found our two rooms. When we walked it one room was freezing and the other extremly hot!!! The AC was broken and we ended up having to turn both off to get somewhat comfortable. Upon looking around we noticed, mildew, rust, peeling paint, stained carpets, and strong odors. Needless to say, we checked out the next day and went to another hotel after having to fight to get a refund for the 2 other nights we had booked. This hotel has overrated itself due to its "history" and is in need of new managment and a facelift. THIS IS NOT A FOUR STAR HOTEL AT ALL!!!!! Motel 8 would have been cleaner!
