My husband and I have been staying in this hotel while on trips to Gatlinburg since 2004. Our last trip was in May of 2006 (for our honeymoon). We love the view we get... no matter what room we're in, the view is great. The gift shop is a bit of a joke, but with all the shopping already available up there, who needs a gift shop? As others have said, the pool is spectacular. In fact, we're planning our next trip now, and my husband wants to stay here again because he's gotten a bit attached to the place (and it's awesome pool lol).

The staff was not helpful and there were no luggage trolleys available throughout our stay. The rooms were not very nice and every room DOES NOT have a view, unless you consider looking at a tarred rooftop and a view obstructed by trees a view. We were extremely dissatisfied with our stay at this hotel and had we booked it by other means we would have left immediately after check-in. Internet usage was $10 a day, the chlorine in the pool area was terrible, and there is no free continental breakfast. There was no minifridge or microwave in the rooms, and the restaurant at the hotel was not very good and the service was not great. There are much better choices in Gatlinburg - we were lucky to have booked another hotel for the rest of our stay. It is at the top of a big hill, so walking to the main strip in Gatlinburg is not an option, you must wait for the Trolley.

Hotel was very nice in days gone by. It is still a nice Hotel with a very helpful staff, however it is showing its age somewhat. Rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Lobby was very nice. However, there was a lot of places throughout that could use a fresh coat of paint. The fronts of each floor were showing a lot of lint or dirt on them. Very noticable when going up and down in the elevators. My kids loved the pool....great views.....quiet but still close enough to ride the trolley which is much easier than trying to find parking anyway. Pretty good value.

The view from our 7th floor room was beautiful! We looked to the left for the Smoky Mountains and to the right the city of Gatlinburg. Check-in was a little slow; only 1 person working. We arrived after 5:30 p.m. and still had 6 people in line in front of us. The room was large. Some small stains on the carpeting; another sitting chair would be nice (there is room for 1 or 2 more). Other than that it was a very nice room. The location (of course) is long walk to the city but there was convenient trolly service (50 cents per ride) which we used and liked. Previously I read a review stating dogs were only allowed on the 1st and 2nd floors. Fortunately, that was not true. My husband loved it and wants to stay here again.

This Hotel was an awesome Bargain! The Hotel was very clean, very comfortable. The pictures were accurate in portraying the Hotel. Excellent view of the town and the mountains! Although 3-4 blocks off of Main St., there was a trolley which could pick you up at the front door and take you down to Main St. for .50 a person and you didn't have to worry about trying to find a place to park once you were in town. The trolley ran up until midnight every night and the pool was also open until midnight every night. I traveled with 3 teenagers and a 3 yr. old and we were all very pleased with our experience. Well worth the $$
