The Perfect Spot

I loved this place because everyone was outstanding. I loved the food and the staff. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The location was OK, but in a way it is great because you are not near all the chaos at the beach, but then again you were a little to far for all of the festivities. I give this hotel a 4 star rating.

Nice 3 day trip

The hotel is a no frills hotel. It is well maintained and clean. There is easy access to the boardwalk and the beach. Parking was a bit of a problem as you had to cross Atlantic Avenue (a very busy street) to park. Staff was very friendly and helpful even when we lost our room key in the ocean. A nice relaxing place to get away. We will remember this hotel next year when we return.

Convenient for the race

We stayed at this hotel over Labor Day weekend. We were in town for the Rock n Roll Half Marathon which starts at the VA Beach Convention Center For a budget hotel, it was acceptable. Our room was clean and tighty and gently worn. Front desk staff were polite. The pool is okay but the people who came and used it all weekend (that weren't even staying at the hotel) took away from any thought of us using it. The beach is a mile away or so. I would imagine the free shuttle service would make do but on this weekend, it wasn't running. I am glad we stayed here but we won't stay here again for Labor Day. Its close to the race start but the beach is too far away. Also, there are a couple restaurants and bars within walking distance but be prepared to wait because they are all super slow. The hotel restaurant was closed the majority of our stay.

Didappointed in overall hotel. Both indoor and outdoor pool were not acceptable. Mold smelling in indoor pool (did not use). Outdoor pool dirty and very cold. Front desk not that helpful. Breakfast was below average, though the lady assisting was nice. Parking was across the road..not good for the kids. Rooms were average and had ant problem

The hotel, in general, was much better than anticipated for a 2 star hotel. Room was clean - we got was 1/4 of a conference room and could easily accomodated a family of 8 (we had only 3) but no balcony. Parking and indoor pool is located across the street, but not a problem because traffic was not bad. Free ice cream was provided for 1 hour near the pool.
