Poor rooms for on-line bookings

Be aware that this hotel will put you in their worst rooms if you book through an on-line service. These rooms do not have an outside window, are dark, and the tv may not work. When we asked to change rooms or to upgrade we were told that this room was our only option because we had booked through an on-line service. We couldn't even pay for an upgrade.
Our TV only had a very fuzzy picture. We mentioned it to the front desk who sent a maintenance person, but the situation was never resolved over two days.
A parking charge and a manditory "room safe" charge are extra.
On the plus side, it is convenient to the sights of Sunset Blvd. and Hollywood Blvd. and an easy drive to Universal Studios. Breakfast is adequate, the mattresses are firm, and the showers are warm.
Just right for me!

This Days Inn was just the right thing for my 2-night stay. The room was on the small side, and for a longer stretch might have felt confining, but it was fine for the 2 nights. It was clean, nicely firm mattress, nice selection of soaps and lotions. Safe in the closet for a nominal fee. I'm a t.v. addict and would have liked just a few more cable station options. I didn't use the pool as it was a bit cool that week, but it was a good size and seemed well-maintained.
I was particularly impressed with the courteousness and helpfulness of desk staff. Parking was very reasonably priced and ample. The location was terrific for my purposes; a few minutes' drive from Universal Studios, Farmers Market, tons of movie theaters.
For the price, this place can't be beat!

Overall, I thought this hotel was a good value. The room was small but very clean. We felt much safer here than we have in some other local hotels. I was disapointed that the free continental breakfast wasn't available on time because one employee was late to work and evidently no one else is available to set up the breakfast. Otherwise...would stay again.

The hotel was in a good location. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was better than we expected. It is a decent hotel for the price/location.

This hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance of Hollywood Blvd and sits right next to the 'In and Out Burger' and Hollywood High School on Sunset Blvd. The second floor room with double beds had strong air conditioning and a view of the pool, and was nice and quiet. The management handled check-in and my questions with a European attitude and efficiency. The free Continental Breakfast each morning was fine, including Bagels, Cereal, etc. Breakfast each morning was attended by tourists from numerous countries. There is * nightly charge for the gated parking underneath the hotel - which is well worth it, as there is not much street parking nearby.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel to others.
