Just what the doctor ordered!

Single traveler, Stayed, Aug.29, 2008 I wanted to get away for some, ''Get back to nature" R/R. I've been to Lancaster, Pa., many times, love the outlets... but it was becoming too...commercial and crowded. Leola Suites was the perfect solution! What a find!!! Leola, a small town, not a lot of traffic, local stores, ten minutes from Lancaster/Strasburg. A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. Gourmet meals (1/2 price at the bar) are excellent!!! My suite(even a phone by the toilet) was large and awesome. Nothing like you would find in Lancaster. Staff, very friendly. All of their facilities were truly first class. Need your hair styled or cut...they even have a , ''Master Barber". She makes you feel like you're at Cheers and she's Sam Malone This place is in the heart of great shopping and has an old-fashion ambiance that will make you want to drive just to see all of the Amish markets. ''The Kitchen Kettle Village", in Intercourse, is a must. About 40 stores, a petting zoo. Home made everything. I would recommend the Leola Village Inn to anyone who likes a little luxury for a lot of satisfaction.

Fantastic Hotel

My wife and I recently stayed her while she was interviewing for a position with a near by company. The entire experience was fantastic from the time we checked in to the moment we checked out. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the bell boy who took our bags to our room gave us a great tour along the way, pointing out all of the amenities, and services that the hotel offered. Our room (a standard room) was huge, clean, and nicely furnished. We took advantage of the billiards room which is free to guests, and shot a few games of pool prior to going to dinner. The folks at the front desk even offered us a late check out time at no additional charge since my wife was interviewing that day. We will most certainly stay here again, it's a great place!!!

Best Things Nearby:
casinos and shopping. also the tram was real close.

Best Things About the Resort:
service and condition of resort.

Resort Experience:
This resort is very nice. Sitting right at the bottom of the San Jacinto mountains, it's very quiet and private. Even though they were doing some remodeling, the place was great. Lots of shopping and interesting things to see in the town areas. Best of all the resort is in walking distance of See's Candy. We would go there again. The studio was very clean and the furnishings were nice as well.

Palm Springs Tennis Club

Best Things Nearby:
The resort is located within easy walking distance to all the downtown activities, from fine restaurants to casinos to museums. Challenging golf courses are almost everywhere you turn.

Best Things About the Resort:
The Palm Springs Tennis Club is ideally located in the heart of the Palm Springs "Strip", where numerous activities abound for the entire family. Enjoy spectacular desert and mountain views, practice your tennis, relax by one of 3 swimming pools and spas or play a round of golf at any of the many nearby championship courses. The Tennis Club is located within a short distance to art galleries, discount shopping outlets, casinos, theatres, and restaurants, and walking distance to historic downtown. This is an excellent spot if you are a tennis player or just enjoy watching others play.

Resort Experience:
Our very first impression of the Palm Springs Tennis Club was quite good. Its location, set against the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, was spectacular. It is well maintained and kept up to par with furnishings and amenities.

Our unit is in an area across the street from the main building. The area is actually made up of a number of cottage units varying in size from studio to two bedrooms. Included in this area are two pools and three large spas. Also a free laundry room is located within this area. The accommodations across the street in the main building are made up of studio and one-bedroom units, some of which are mountain view.

We are staying in one of the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom units, called a Wimbledon Unit. The master bedroom is very large with room for not only a king size bed and other expected furnishings but also a nice stuffed chair.

The second bedroom contains twin beds, and an ample size closet. Both bathrooms have a bathtub and single sink. The living room contains a comfortable sofa that converts into a queen size bed.

The kitchen has all the items necessary to cook a meal and all the appliances are in excellent condition. This unit has a very large private patio with a table and four chairs and beautiful views of the mountains.

The entertainment for this unit includes a television in the living room and in each bedroom, all with remote control, a VCP in the living room and clock radios in each bedroom. We did not have a CD/tape player or stereo unit. Local telephone calls, within an approximate 12 mile radius, are free of charge. Telephones can be found in the living room as well as both bedrooms. A ceiling fan in the dining room helps to keep the temperature cool, especially in the summer when the air conditioner is working overtime. Housekeeping will come by each day and empty the trash and they do a mid-week linen change.

For those needing to stay in touch with family and friends or perhaps do some work, there is a computer set up in the lobby area that has internet capability. I noticed some usage, but it was not overly busy. In addition to the computer, the lobby and the mezzanine area just above the lobby are WI-FI active. I took my laptop to both locations and got a very good, fast connection. The signal is also very good from the street in front of the lobby.

The resort offers a tremendous amount of things to do on a daily basis. For example, on Saturday they offered Continental Breakfast, sand candle making activity, flower pot painting, ping pong, afternoon movie, ice cream social, bingo and some time for a get together to meet your neighbors. These types of activities go on all week long. A daily activity schedule is left on the door of each unit in the afternoon, for the following day’s activities.
