This hotel is not all it was cracked up to be. It smelt funny in our small hotel room and my brothers room. The air conditioning kicked in every 15 minutes and it sounded like a 757 was landing in our room. The staff acted like they were too good to work there and were a bit unfriendly. I did encounter one extremely nice front desk worker. Great pool but people started reserving chairs at 10:00 am making it impossible to find a spot and enjoy. The overall d?r was beautiful and it did have a great location!
What a disappointment

From the other reviews, I really expected more. This hotel is so dark it looks like they forgot to pay the utilities. The carpet and tile in the lobby area are a mess. The elevators were a bit scary. Valet parking took over 20 mins to "find" our car. The room was very tiny. The bathroom unusable as the shower flooded the entire room. The walls were so thin I thought our neighbors were in the room. The air conditioning was very noisy, but at least it blocked out the noise next door. The decor was very spartan and cheap. And to top it off, roaches. Never again.

Loved the art decho decor in the rooms and the beds were confortable as well. Right in the heart of Hollywood for all of our touristy needs and just plain nice to relax in as well. Even the movie stars hang out there sometimes.

We stayed at the Roosevelt the weekend of New Year's 2006. We were a little skeptical because of reviews we had read about how all the rooms weren't renovated and its difficult (i.e. rude) staff. Luckily, we ran in to neither of these concerns. Our room was great: nice size, clean, and recently renovated, with a good view. And the staff we dealt with was very friendly. The bar by the pool was a great place to hang out.

The room was spectacular! It was clean and wonderfully pleasing to the eye. We had two double beds that were very Zen-ish. Also included was a top-end CD player available for our enjoyment. The lounge is very famous and beautiful (Teddy Lounge). Just sit there with a glass of wine and relax.
