Roosevelt

I recently stayed at the Roosevelt for business. It wouldn't have been my first pick since I had known that Hollywood Boulevard can be shady at night. Indeed I was right, lots of crazy people wander around at night. The hotel itself was pleasant. I checked in with no problem, I was given a good size room with a great view of the city on the high floor. The bathroom was the most bizarre I have yet to see in the a hotel. It had a very cold feeling to it, and it actually was cold since there was no door in the shower. The bed was clean and comfortable. There was free wireless in the room that was pretty fast. I do caution about one thing in this hotel, I am a deep sleeper most of the time and the walls at this hotel are like they are invisible. I could hear every word from my neighbors and a big group came back at 3am one night and had a party in the room. They were not even talking that loud but I could still hear them like they were sitting on my bed. I promptly called security who came and told them all to leave. Luckily the hotel was very good about that. There is parking on the premise which is nice although pricey at $25 a day but it's Hollywood.

We enjoyed our stay here, the location was excellent. The room was a bit small but the furnishing was very nice. A little pricey though. Got billed for drinks from the fridge that we didn't take.

Most of the troubled travelers shoudn't have stayed here. This building is working within the confines of a very old building. it delivers on what it promises--bringing you a taste of old hollywood, and if you take your clients to the pool they will like you for ever.

This has to be the worst hotel and experience I've ever had in LA and I've stayed at all of the popular ones. Don't expect any service and DON'T have your company event here.

Service, location and hospitality were outstanding here. The double chaise lounge chairs, the pool and exotic food/drinks made you feel like a movie star even if you're not. The room was contemp/modern with a breathtaking view of the Hollywood sign and the bed was like a cloud. Excellent room service and lost and found actually returned my forgotten item. We'll be back!!
