Excellant Location, Great Appearance

The Marriott is a short walk from the Anaheim Conference center, and seems to be within close proximity of many attractions. The appearance is high-scale, and has everything you need including a Starbucks for your morning coffee. I had forgotten some essentials and found them in the gift shop (gel, etc.) . It seemed as if there were not many restaurants within walking distance, but the hotel restaurants seemed more than adequate for a short stay.

while booking it online, the price looked right. once we arrived, we saw why. self parking is expensive and far we upgraded to valet (not much more) well when we checked out, i noticed i got charged for self parking and valet parking. i took my receipt to front desk to get it fixed and when i got home and viewed my online banking, they charged me for self parking again. but besides parking fees, you kind of feel like you have to tip for everything, and that adds up quickly. the rooms were clean but small. loved that there was a starbucks in the lobby.

Stay at another hotel nearby to avoid excess fees.

We booked our room for $* a night through travel website which appeared to be a decent rate for the area. When we arrived at the hotel I checked in and the front desk person advised that there was going to be an additional $* a day for self parking or $* a day for valet parking. The clerk went on to explain that with the self parking I could come and go as many times as I wanted (What a Bonus, huh?) Well I went with the $* a day so I wouldn't be parked a mile down the road. While the parking garage is connected to the hotel it is still on the other side of the conference area of the hotel and was quite a trek from the garage to the room.
We unloaded all of our luggage and I asked one of the Valet/Bellman if I could borrow a luggage cart of theirs for my bags. The Bellman advised me that they had to handle the carts and they couldn't let guests use them according to company policy. Well that is the first time that has every happened to me and I thought it to be somewhat irritating. We lugged our bags up to our floor and after turning the corner from the elevator the hallway was blocked by a bellman's cart which I had to push out of the way. The bellman came out of the room he was unloading bags into and I told him I had to move the cart to get by and he just looked at me like I was crazy for touching his cart. He never said anything to me like excuse me or sorry or anything. Later that night after coming back tot he hotel there was an unattended luggage cart

Convention Ctr Hotel Near Disneyland

"Good public spaces, but generally caters to business travelers - just a block from the Anaheim Conventions Center. Standard rooms are rather small, and only 1 King OR 2 Double beds are available. Staff was good and upgraded us (free because of low occupancy) to a suite with a queen murphy bed and sofabed. Not the best for families visiting Disneyland."
