Soundproofing!

Very noisy. Can hear showers and toilets flushing from next door. Rooms face a common courtyard so you clearly hear conversations and doors slamming. Service at the restaurant was horrible. I wasn't acknowledged, I got my own cup of coffee, hit the buffet breakfast and finished before the wait staff greeted me. Great views of downtown and Queen Mary, but the hotel feels isolated. You have to either drive or take the shuttle to everything. Driving to the hotel was confusing and lots of semi truck traffic traveling to the nearby Port.

The beach & city view are awesome. The room was very spacious & clean. Great value for the area.

We booked a premium view room well in advance at a discount rate only to find, at check-in, that this type of room was "not available" and we were expected to take a significant room downgrade. After lengthy discussion and consultation with the Manager, a premium room was finally "found" but the unnecessary stress this caused spoiled our stay. Large balconey, nice views, good location (near Queen Mary). Room has a refrigerator but lacks microwave. Somewhat of a party hotel, especially for weddings, with thin walls.

Pros: Good location, liked balcony, good view. Cons: Paying for the parking, thin walls, restaurant closing at 10.
Coast Long Beach

Fabulous view from room of bay, marina, the city, Queen Mary and lighted bridge. Free Long Beach bus takes you right to the hotel from downtown. Very nice, clean rooms. Walls need insulation as I heard showers and toilets from nearby rooms as if they were in my room.
