The money definitely went into making the lobby look nice but the rooms were dingy and dank. we requested a crib which we eventually got after repeated requests but then the crib didn't have any sheets or blankets.
Excellent location; the hotel was walking distance to the pier.

Family vacation to Monterey, and this hotel was a great location. Walk to Fishermans Wharf was easy. Hotel was comfortable, and clean. Drinks at night in the outside lounge was fun. Would stay here again.
