Stay Away

Two of the other downtown hotels were full and suggested this one. Tremendous mistake. This hotel suffers from tremendous neglect. Carpet torn up and stained, windows filthy, bathroom dirty, room is tiny, furniture broken and torn, wall paper peeling, stains throughout, t linen dirty, flat pillows, cobwebs on the ceiling...and this was in the room I was moved to after I complained about the first room they put me in. This place is tacky and the management simply does not care. The furnishings are Motel 8 quality. Seriously. I have stayed in lots of cheap and crappy hotels, and this is definitely cheap and crappy. For the price, you would be better off staying in Henrietta and driving into the city.

No wonder it was cheap, nobody seemed to be working there, the room was dirty and people were marching in front of the hotel holding boycott signs.

Let me first say that I was a little worried about booking my room after some of the negative reviews. My experience with the hotel was very nice. The staff were accommodating and my room was clean and quiet. I even had a nice diner brought up to my room from the restaurant. I do agree that they should look into expanding their menu but the food was good. I would definitely stay again and recommend this property for anyone visiting Rochester.

Hotel is undergoing a renovation to improve the quality for the guests. This states that they do want to provide clients with a better product. The noise to the interior renovations was minimal, if at all. Work must have been done during business hours, as I heard nothing in the morning or when I got back in the evening. Hotel internet being free and fast, is a huge plus. Great view of the River from the restaurant. Everyone was friendly. For the price, I will stay here over the other downtown hotels. Great value in a convenient location.

dont waste your time or money. The staff was nice and friendly. Food was horrible, my first room had water in the ice bucket, table with no chairs, when i returned to the room the next day the A/C was soo loud i had to switch rooms. The next room the put me in the A/C did not work. There were also picketers on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. Would definatley stay somewhere else.
