A heritage building from the 1900s, the Dorchester is centrally located in the harbor of this "Harbour City." No frills, straightforward accomodation - like the city itself. Room heater a bit too agressive even for the winter. Very friendly staff!

This 3 story heritage hotel is over 100 years old and is directly across from the harbour. The rooms are small but decorated with rich dark wood furniture and have a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, coffee maker & fan (no air conditioning). The bathroom is also very small. Each floor has a parlour at the end of the hall with comfy couches and great views of the harbour. There is a lounge and restaurant with great food (see separate entry). Guests of the hotel receive a 15% discount in the restaurant on any meal. Parking in the lot next door is included in the price. The rooms are spread out along narrow, dark hallways and through a number of doors - a bit like a maze. Floors are squeaky in parts and seem to have a bit of a slant. The exercise room consists of a stepper and exercise bike jammed into a corner of a storage area but you do have a large picture window view of the harbour while you sweat away.
