Location was great. Staff were friendly. However the hotel could use some renovating: bathroom walls were chipped and the carpet old. Hallway carpets have seen better days and is in dire need of replacement. The first day we got there, the towel rack was busted ( fixed 2 days after).Housekeeping staff needs to pay more attention to cleaning the coffee pot (forgot it twice), and replenishing coffee, sugar, cream.
Breakfast was good but it would be nice if they serve real eggs. Not everyone likes fake eggs.
Spend more, get a better room.

My daughter and I planned a trip to Scottsdale months ago for November 20th-23rd to visit. We decided to stay in a hotel close to Old Town, Fashion Square Mall and the 5th Avenue shops. The Ramada Limited Scottsdale is in the perfect location so we chose it without hesitation as we have previously stayed in Ramada Hotels in Florida and California and were satisfied and happy with our stays at those locations. However, had we known the condition of the Ramada Limited, we would have NEVER paid for the accommodations and definitely would have made reservations elsewhere. I have photos of our room, 119, which should more than speak for themselves as to the shabby, low class and very filthy condition the room was in upon our arrival and duration of our trip. The bathroom ceiling and walls have visible mold and dirt which you can clearly see. The ceiling vent above the sink is absolutely filthy and probably hasn't been cleaned in years. The sheer curtain beneath the drapes have a large tear vertically which was unsightly not to mention very tacky. It does not cost much to buy sheer curtains. It amazes me they have been hanging as long as they have without housekeeping removing them and management replacing them with appropriate window treatment. The smoke detector was hanging by wires and not securely attached to the ceiling as code would require. For all we know, it isn't even working properly. There is also visible damage to the wall next to the bed which should have been noticed by housekeeping and repaired before reserving the room to any guests. It is the worst room I've ever been in.

Been there in Aug. 2008. If you are looking just for a place to crash this is it. If you want luxury find something else. The motel is old and noting special, the location however is perfect. Close to bars, clubs, shopping, restaurants and other fun places. Breakfast was not bad at all and pool always empty. You have microwave, refrigerator, iron with board and hair dryer in the room so you can cook up some fast food if you need it. Overall it was ok for me and my girlfriend because we were always out and about.
"Tired" old hotel

We stayed 5 days in the Scottsdale area in this hotel. It was adequate for us because we spent our days out and about and only used the room to sleep and shower in. The linens were adequate, but tired and well worn. Furnishings could use some updating. The bathroom facilities really needed updating. The bath tub had been re-surfaced at sometime, but was beginning to chip off and was discolored and looked dirty. Air conditioning was very noisy even when turned off. The toilet needed to be cleaned with a toilet brush, but was not during the whole time that we were there. The daily maid provided clean towels and toiletries each day and straightened the room. A daily breakfast was provided each day, at no additional cost, which we did not take advantage of. The hotel was adjacent to "Old Town" Scottsdale, shopping and restaurants, all within walking distance. The staff was courteous.

we checked in on monday night, everything was o.k. until friday and saturday nights,we were on second floor, two doors down was some college type kids, starting friday night at around 8:00 p.m. crowd was very noisy and loud, i figured someone else would complain or management would step in, this continued until app. 3:00 a.m.--saturday night it started at around 8:00 p.m. finally i called management at around 10:00 p.m. and complained,,they did nothing,,this noise lasted until app. 4:00 a.m. funny how 1 room of people can make it bad for all the other vacationers.........both students and management unconsiderate for anyone else...
