Excellent hotel that is close to the convention center. It is located right on the Riverwalk. It is in walking distance of some very nice restrauants. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It is a excellent hotel for the price. The restraunt is good but service a little bit slow if in a rush in the am for a meeting. Food is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Rude front desk, unfriendly to business travelers needs

The hotel refused to give me a receipt for my room upon checking out. Hotel manage refused to honor my tax exemption letter, "you have to take that up with travelocity, not us". The front desk manager was rude, unhelpful, and disingenuous. She couldn't explain the hotel policies - and gave conflicting information regarding hotel polices. As a result, I had to contact travelocity to get a simple receipt that I needed for reimbursement purposes. The hotel rooms were unremarkable, as was its location. Valet parking was more expensive, even for that area of town. The regret staying at the Wyndham.

Staff vey cordial - reserved a King Non-smoking but were all sold-out. We were upgraded to a larger corner room which was super! The bed, pillows and shower were well above average! Location is a little further than many from the French Quarter, but gave us a chance to explore the arts/warehouse area which was a nice change.
The only downside - you have to pay to use the internet, either in your room or in their small, one desk "Business Center." For a hotel this nice I expected the Business Center to have free internet service.

Nice hotel, clean and courteous, gave us a great rate. Close to Casino and Shopping, 6 block walk to Burbon St. Would come back!
