We were disappointed in this resort. The front desk "people" were not friendly and there really wasn't much to do there. We were not told that the restaurant was not in operation when we checked in and we had planned to go there one night. We were not impressed.
It was clean however and the exercise room was good.

This would be nice if it were just my husband and me -- and no children. The second bedroom would be nice for ONE person, not two.
We especially liked the following restaurants: Silver Saddle Room at the Cowboy Club in downtown Sedona, El Rincon in Tlaquepaque, and Heartline Cafe in Sedona
The following were not so good: Oaxaca in Sedona, Canyon Breeze in Sedona, and The Orchards in Sedona
The following tours were great: Pink Jeep Tours, Verde Railroad, and Blazin M Ranch (do the railroad and ranch on the same day), Trailhorse Adventures (their dinners are fantastic as well!)
We also managed to visit the Grand Canyon NP, Walnut Canyon NP, Homolovi Ruins SP, Meteor Crater, Montezuma Castle NP, Tuzigoot NP, Jerone SP, Fort Verde SP, Wupatki NP, Sunset Crater Volcano NP, and the Red Rocks of Sedona.
Yes, we packed a lot into one week -- then it was off to another week in Scottsdale.

This "resort" is made up of individual modular buildings that are cozy, but bright with the many floor to ceiling windows in the living room and clear story windows elsewhere. Though each unit is compact it is perfect for a couple and very efficient in total design. The Jacuzzi/bathtub/shower was too small for being used as a Jacuzzi unless you were 5'2" or less. There are plenty of amenities on site and the distance from the center of Sedona affords some country quiet, but good views.
The staff were very accommodating. We found our unit very clean and the only glitch was a water problem where water from the Jacuzzi leaked into the kitchen area leaving a large puddle. The platform bed was very comfortable, though the bedroom was quite tight and we had to place one rollerboard suitcase on the floor of the closet. We are planning a return visit in late October.

Take a day and drive up to the Grand Canyon. I'd recommend a weekday, as weekends are pretty crowded. Arrive before 10am to avoid park entrance lines.
