Nice hotel - Great Location

My 16 yr. old son and I enjoyed our one night visit to Cambria. The hotel location was perfect for long walks and beautiful sunsets! The room was large enough so I didn't bump into my large son, we were both very comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly.

Our room was very large with a nice fireplace that lit with the flip of a switch. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with seating inside and out. We enjoyed the spa but it was very very hot.
I would definately go back to this hotel.
Relax oceanside, great vacation spot

Go for ocean view patio room. Relax on patio and watch seals, penguins, rabbits, etc. Open a bottle of wine and relax. Fireplace, jacuzzi, make this a vacation without leaving room. I travel a lot for business and this is a thoroughly enjoyable inn. Romantic. relaxing. You can visit Hearst Castle, Elephant Seal beach, Morro Rock....but you won't need to. Beach walk across street, saw baby Harbor seals & mothers playing. Staff very helpful about wine tasting & restaurants (Robins, Black Cat) Upgrade to patio room and you won't need to spend any more to have a great vacation.

I stayed at the Best Western Fireside Inn Moon with my two grandchildren. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is heated which the kids loved and the beach is a simple walk across the street. The access to the beach was easy enough for an old grandma like myself and we saw seals in the water and spent a long time looking for moon rocks!
Only tiny complaint was the continental breakfast. It would have been much better with two toasters instead of one.
The beach access kept us another day

We came back to Fireside Inn for a second night because it was so comfy, and it had internet access. The boardwalk and beach access are steps away.The second night we had a fireplace room with small patio- get that because you can see a sideways view of the ocean, and the room was much bigger. The continental breakfast included fresh waffles. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us great recommendations for food, seeing the small town of Cambria, etc. Customer service seems to be a lost art most places, but this was excellent!
