Not worth your hard earned money

When we checked in it seemed like a nice clean hotel. But we got into our room the toilet had a nasty rotten crack and the tub was dirty with pubic hair in it. Although the bed was comfortable,I found out they don't even change the sheets only flip it. My son face broke out with bumps and he's only 5 years old. They can't even afford a mini-fridge or a microwave for every room.Their resturant is over priced but I wouldn't mind paying for an expensive meal if the service was worth it.It took the waitress 30 mins to bring my drinks and one hour and a half to get my food. When I complain she gave us an attitude. Florida altogether is not worth the trip.Everyone there is rude, cranky, mean-spirted and nasty. I did stay at the Marriott in Orlando and that was quite an enjoyment, the rooms were big.Fridge and microwave in the rooms and entertainment for the children. I'm planning another trip not to Ft.lauderdale but to Orlando.I won't be staying at any Marriott.

Nice hotel!

This is a nice, Marriott hotel in the Cypress Creek area. It is very easy to find. The staff was nice and the rooms are great! My room overlooked a nice boardwalk area but you can see I-95 as well. The check-in/check-out process is so easy and the staff is very accommodating to any requests that you might have.

Not Worth the Price!

Ive stayed in many hotels ranging from inexpensive to very pricy and I have to warn you - this hotel is NOT worth the price that they charge. Due to renovations on the 4th & 5th floors, you have to walk down the stairs (which smell like urine) to get to the designated smoking area/pool. Housekeeping practiaclly beat down the door while I was sleeping in order to clean the room (which in their eyes was a good gesture in response to our complaints??). We had to switch key cards with the front desk twice because they stopped working. In my experience with hotels, the price of room service have always been expensive but at this hotel its outrageous!! I have never been a huge fan of the Marriott chain of hotels, but this experience ensures that I will NEVER book with Marriott again. In addition, I own a seminar/cruise business which does a lot of its business out of Fort Lauderdale and believe me - Marriott will never be reccommended to my clients. Ill send them to Motel 6 before I send them here - im sure the accommodations there are much better! P.S. At least the beds are comfortable.

Ft. Lauderdale Marriott North

Well-maintained property in great northside location immediately off I-95. Many casual dining options within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and eager to please, although Marriott Platinum members beware—hotel often fails to credit me with my 500 mile arrival bonus, and repeated calls to management and staff are futile. The concierge lounge is pleasant, but evening meals are always meager w/ lots of fried, doughy wrapped things and little else. Breakfasts are better. Spacious rooms are cheerful and well-appointed. Convention and cruise business can take up lots of rooms, so reserve early.

The carpet looked old and the halls were humid. Bed and bedding was nice. Pool area and common areas looked dated.
