Hotel was very clean and service was excellent. The location was close to everything. Souvenir shop - Splash and Swim City, just 1 mile from Siesta Key Public Beach, its right in front of a shopping complex that has big name restaurants, 30-45 minute drive to St Armand's Circle at St Armand's Key, 45 minutes away from the airport.
Our only concern was for the airconditioning where it wasn't cooling enough our room.
Also, I would caution everyone to "not" play any music from their Cable TV Service. We tried it and the songs they are playing are really old. We chose Pop genre and it loaded music from 10-20 years ago. Their R&B was full of unrecognized artists, surprisingly there were alot of country music in this category.
Their movies are okay.
Best thing I liked about this hotel was they have this secure black fireproof box in the room where you can put your priced items. Its protected with your choice of digital lock key combination. It's dang heavy so I don't think anybody will try to pull it out from the room.
Reliable and low cost

We have stayed at this property 3 times and it has been the best value in the area. The free hot breakfast and nice pool & whirlpool make it nice, the rooms are not fancy but clean and comfortable.
Very nice thanks Holiday Inn

This is the first Holiday Inn Express I have stayed at and it was very nice. The staff was friendly, lobby clean and fresh. The room was very nice and clean. The room seemed new or just remodeled.
The pool area is spacious and clean. The hot tub was nice an hot but the jets did not hace much oumph.
At night, they had complementary popcorn or cappacino. In the morning the deluxe breakfast was tasty. I would stay here again. My only regret was not having the room booked for a second night.
What a great place!

Our family stayed here for 7 nights and were just delighted. All the usual stuff was fine. The pool was in a sheltered area, which really helped in the windy and somewhat cool days we were there. Both pool and hot tub were the perfect temperature. There was snack food and water in the lobby all day, and nobody minded the kids eating bags and bags of popcorn. The complimentary breakfast - with different dishes of eggs every day and delicious cinnamon rolls, plus all the usual food - was super. Everyone from the desk to housekeeping was friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the location - it's on a corner that's hard to get into and out of, and traffic was loud early in the morning a few of the days. It is less than a mile from Siesta Key Beach if you walk, but really most people would drive, so it's about 2 miles away from this wonderful beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would highly recommend this hotel.

not having been to sarasota before, i wasn't sure exactly where i wanted to be, but selected this hotel because it was the cheapest package w/ my flight. turns out it is about a mile from siesta key beach, which is incredible. everything closer was a condo.
the staff was helpful and courteous. a minor problem at check-in was resolved satisfactorily, and the rest of our 5 day visit went beautifully. the breakfast bar had a good variety, if only fair quality. the afternoon cookies were good, as was the cappuccino.
the room was reasonably spacious and well-appointed. king bed comfortable, w/6 pillows! nice showerhead, as well.
would definitely consider going back when we are in the area.
