Very accomodating and friendly staff, extremely convenient to the venue I was visiting. Lots of charm.

One Year Anniversary getaway

My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary. The Georgian Terrance is a very nice place to go if you are celebrating a special event or just wanting to go and get away. The only one concern my husband and I had was someone coming into our hotel room about 2 a.m. because the door was unsecure. The hotel DOES NOT have cameras on the floors and we feel as though that is an issue that is bad for the hotel. Because anything can happen and if there is no documentation (i.e., security cameras) on the floors that could be vital. Having working for a Marriott hotel, I know that Marriott strives for the safety of their guest. We feel as though the hotel knew about it. Overall, the experience was beautiful; we were able to swim; he was able to go the fitness center and we were able to see downtown area and we took beautiful pictures. However, we may stay again next year. Because it was a very BEAUTIFUL hotel and we did enjoy it.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!

This "hotel" is not only MISREPRESENTED but also MISMANGED: a) The ONLY option for parking is 25.00 valet, the site says self-parking is available but according to the parking booth attendent you can park yourself @ 22.00 but cannot leave without repaying. b) Service is sloooooooow!!!! so is the elevator. c) Parts of the hotel are unremodeled (and not a cute vintage way more like a brothel in a bad part of town). We literally crossed a thresold from nice hotel to old, dirty carpet and very small room d) No attempt was made to satisfy our complaints, I waited on the phone for 45 mins. A truly disappointing experience for a night I was so looking forward to.

I have to say, I had stayed the hotel about 4 years ago. It was like thye had gone back in time. Their room services menu was out dated and room service was horrible. I actually had a guy bring my food up and not set up the table. My room was dirty, actually it looked like it had not been cleaned in months. My door would move everytime someone would open or close the door next to mine. My window was broken and my blankets also looked like they had never been washed. The pictures have to be old ones. I would not stay there again. If you go call and see if they have done any renavation .

Let Down

Overall, I didn't have a horrible experience at the Georgian Terrace, but the little things make me not want to come back. The parking is horrible. They told me valet was $25, so i elected to self-park, which they didn't tell me until later costs $23...PER NIGHT. Additionally, we booked a 2 bed/2bath room, and we only got one bathroom. I can handle that, but I paid for two. The hotel decor was definitely dated. I haven't sat in a chair with armrest covers in years. The biggest disappointment, however was the rooftop pool. The photos of the pool look luxurious, clean, and romantic on travel website and the hotel website, but in person not so much. Getting to the pool involves a labyrinth of locked doors, creepy corridors, and one particularly creaky elevator. All that, and the pool was so dirty, I wouldn't even get in. Clean up your act Georgian Terrace...next time I'm in Atlanta, I'll stay down the street.
